Evans leads Monte Carlo Rallye 2021 after two days of competition

in Rally3 years ago

Hi, friends!

Now I can really say that I am happy because French authorities let thie rally to happen this weekend even with Police hour applied through the region where the rally is held.

Rally starts from 6am and lasts until 6pm and that's the also time of police hours.

Today it was raining whole day, from 7am and it was also a big rain. Drivers said that roads were so muddy and dirty that conditions were just like pure Monte but without that much snow outside.

Tomorrow will be a snowy day with just three special stages and short mile distance but the cruel one because when you drive on snow and ice on some mountain, there you find if you are really hero or not.

Seb Ogier really had good today and slashed that advantage to the leading drivers after day one but the leader after day two is Elfyn Evans. Both of these guys drive Toyota Yaris WRC.

It seems that Toyota is still in the league of their own looking at the speed.

Tanak is 3rd for Hyundai and in the 4th place is another Toyota of young Finn Kalle Rovanpera. Thierry Neuville with the new co-driver is only 5th at the moment and Dani Sordo only 6th but with some improvements in the last two special stages.

Fastest R5 car is still Škoda Fabia Rally2 with Andreas Mikkelsen behind a steering wheel.

Let the best win - as always...
