Russian rally ace and season 2018 European Rally Champion Alexey Lukyanuk was connected for a long time with Ford brand and their Fiesta R5 rally car which finally brought him championship title in 2018.
Last season he drove with Citroen and that didn't result good because he lost lots of points, sometimes because of his own mistakes, sometimes because of mechanical errors and sometimes because of team's mistake like it was last season at Rally di Roma Capitale.
But with Ford he always did good. It seems that some cars just fit some drivers really good.
And yes, one more thing that I noticed: teams don't want to rent their cars to anyone, you must have some results behind you. So no money can help with the top teams. Maybe smaller teams can provide their services for low profile drivers still...
So today we have Alexey Lukyanuk with Ford Fiesta R5 on super fast special stage of Azores Airlines Rallye 2016.
