Hyundai WRC team sent current WRC champion Ott Tanak and their leading driver on a practice and where is the best practice?! In your homeland of course.
Tanak is Estonian so they sent him to drive a rally from their national championship called Viru Rally 2020.
National rallies are sometimes so boring to watch, especially if you watch them on a videos and not alive. It's difference alive because you can feel that adrenaline and energy and sound of the cars so that's better.
Some national championships has super high and big entries with lots of top cars (Italian or French championships) and that's something to follow and watch.
It's difference when you compete, then you don't look for anything else then to be as quick as you can and to stay on the road if possible.
So Tanak won in his Hyundai i20WRC in front of Georg Gross who drove Tanak's private car Ford Fiesta WRC. Hahaha, can you believe this?
Tanak left him one special stage to win it but the rest was his. In the end, he is current WRC champion.
Boring rally, what to say but it is a good practice test for Tanak and Hyundai...
