Are you worth it?

That is the question I got from a young lad this morning.

My reply?

"What do you think?"

Funny how some questions shake our thought trail.

But if you were to answer that question will you answer yes without batting an eyelash? Or let them realize or discover your worth? I chose the latter, I want them to discover my worth without me telling it.

Though I think that question is answerable by yes or no. But I also think that question is better answered with a yes because everyone is worth it, and everyone deserves a chance.

But you know why I'm talking about this are you worth it thing? Not only because the young lad asked me, but because it feels like I've forgotten my self-worth. And I think feeling down lately and having personal issues came from this.

I've been busy taking care of the people around me and forgot that I also need to prioritize myself before anything else. I forgot that I also need to love myself, I forgot that I also need to attend to my own needs. I exhaust myself without me realizing it, until just lately that I'm already struggling that I realize I didn't left anything for myself.

What makes me realize this?

When I started looking for something when I started being too sensitive. When I started looking for a support group that I felt like I'd got no one to depend on. When every day I feel so down and can't find the rainbow.

But the universe knows when to work for me. When to rescue me when I'm already drowning.

Suddenly the people around me start to show how much they care for me. They remind me again how much they value me and how much my friendship means to them. I started feeling again their support that I thought was gone. I started feeling that people are being nice to me even if I don't know much about them, even if they don't know much about me. There are people who show me that I am worth something. There are people who came and make me smile every day with just their morning messages, making me feel that they appreciate my existence, making me feel my worth. Reminding me that I don't have to be something, that I don't have to prove anything for me to have worth. And you, yes you, you make me smile every day and I thank you for that.

And that alone shouts out to the world and to me what my worth is. That no matter how life affects me there are people who got my back. There are people who love me unconditionally. There are people who accept me even if they don't know me. There will be people who will come and go that will make me realize what my worth is. And it also reminds me that I don't need the approval of the people around me for me to feel that worth. Because everyone has its own worth, everyone has its own value, everyone deserves something better.

So never ever doubt your own worth. :) Because YOU are worthy.

I've been busy taking care of the people around me and forgot that I also need to prioritize myself before anything else.

And this right here is why sometimes it gets so overwhelming and we break down. I have been having that type of episode for the last few weeks and it's not pretty.

That no matter how life affects me there are people who got my back. There are people who love me unconditionally.

I love this, it is important to remember these things whenever we feel like we aren't worth it. Any time I begin to doubt myself, I try to remind myself that I deserve everything good and I am worthy
