When the unexpected happens!

Life they say is once lost never regained. Things have taken new turns in this 21st century and as the day goes by different new things are happening both good and bad.

There are many unexpected things that happen in the lives of everyone. You didn't ask for it but it took you by surprise. It may be something worth being grateful for, something alarming or something depressing but most of the time, beautiful things happen unexpectedly.

I have this friend that had been struggling to get a job for quite a long time, she gave up on life and was even planning suicide because she felt everything was over, fate had it that I visited her the evening she was to execute her suicide plan. She had to open up to me and I tried my best to talk her out of suicide. I told her to free herself of expectations because the best always comes when and from what we least expect. Today, she's living her best life and till she breathes her last she'll forever be grateful she didn't use her own hands to ruin her surprise.

Many people say the best things happen unexpectedly but I disagree with that in a way which I'll explain. Just recently, I've lost a lot of school mates and they all died unexpectedly. They were all sound before passing out to the great beyond. It was something that gripped the hearts of many especially close friends and family members. In situations like this when the unexpected happens we all need to face the reality at the moment and put ourselves together.

When something unexpected which is beautiful happens, enjoy the moment and be grateful. When something unexpected which may be sad happens, put yourself together and don't think it's the end of the world because something good can come out of bad situations. However we all love it when good unexpected things happen.

All we need to do now is grasp that unexpected things do happen and they are undoubtedly inevitable but we have a control which is how we handle them. Yeah! Everything boils down to how we chose to handle situations. You have to be courageous and also let grace lead.

Take a deep breath! Everything is gonna be just fine.
