Mi nombre es Belén Pilar, pero mis amigos y familiares me dicen Belu. Tengo 27 años y nací en Buenos Aires, Argentina, pero mis raices proceden de Italia (linaje materno) y de España (linaje paterno). Actualmente estoy viviendo en Nueva Zelanda.
My name is Belén Pilar, but my friends and family call me Belu. I am 27 years old and I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, but my roots come from Italy (maternal lineage) and Spain (paternal lineage). I am currently living in New Zealand.
Gran parte de mi personalidad es aguerrida, con convicciones fuertes sobre la búsqueda de la verdad y la justicia en el mundo, posiblemente condicionada por mi historia de vida y las situaciones por las que he pasado.
Tengo ganas de conocer y explorar el mundo al máximo. Me encanta aprender sobre las distintas culturas e idiomas. De hecho, al terminar mis estudios secundarios, tuve el privilegio de poder asistir a un instituto de Inglés Británico en donde he adquirido un gran nivel de conocimiento, sobre todo en la parte gramatical. Luego, al ingresar a la Universidad y comenzar a estudiar Turismo, continué estudiando idiomas ya que el inglés y el portugués son obligatorios dentro de la carrera.
Much of my personality is feisty, with strong convictions about the search for truth and justice in the world, possibly conditioned by my life history and the situations I have been through.I am eager to know and explore the world to the fullest. I love learning about different cultures and languages. In fact, when I finished high school, I had the privilege of attending a British English institute where I have acquired a great level of knowledge, especially in the grammatical part. Then, when I entered the University and started studying Tourism, I continued studying languages since English and Portuguese are compulsory within the career.

VIAJAR
Soy de las personas que cree que el dinero puede recuperarse, pero el tiempo no. Por eso, si hay algo que deseo profundamente, es sacar el mayor provecho de mi tiempo e invertirlo en viajes. Las experiencias vividas y los recuerdos acumulados son una gran riqueza que quedan guardados para siempre en nuestra memoria.
En el 2010, tuve la posibilidad de recorrer gran parte de mi hermoso país gracias a mis abuelos, quienes me dieron la oportunidad de viajar con ellos como regalo por mi cumpleaños número 15. Esa experiencia despertó en mí la motivación de seguir conociendo mi país e incluso, conocer el mundo.
TRAVEL
I am one of those people who believe that money can be recovered, but time cannot. That is why, if there is something I deeply desire, it is to make the most of my time and invest it in travel. The experiences lived and the memories accumulated are a great wealth that remain forever in our memory.
In 2010, I had the opportunity to travel through a large part of my beautiful country thanks to my grandparents, who gave me the opportunity to travel with them as a gift for my 15th birthday. That experience awakened in me the motivation to continue to know my country and even to know the world.
CANTO
De pequeña, tomé clases de canto en una academia en donde aprendí distintas técnicas vocales asi como también a interpretar las canciones y transmitir las emociones que se producen al cantar para que el oyente las pueda recibir.
La academia se llamaba "La escuela de la voz" y me ha dado la oportunidad de participar en distintos eventos de la ciudad para poder exponer lo aprendido durante las clases.
Por situaciones personales no pude seguir concurriendo al establecimiento pero, de todos modos, el canto me acompaña en mi día a día y sé que, algun día, retomaré las clases.
SINGING
When I was a child, I took singing lessons at an academy where I learned different vocal techniques as well as how to interpret the songs and transmit the emotions that are produced when singing so that the listener can receive them.
The academy was called "La escuela de la voz" and it has given me the opportunity to participate in different events in the city to be able to present what I learned during the classes.
Due to personal situations I could not continue attending the establishment but, anyway, singing accompanies me in my day to day, and I know that, someday, I will resume the classes.
OBJETIVOS EN HIVE
Mi objetivo aquí es compartir un poco de mi experiencia migratoria en Nueva Zelanda, para que me acompañen en este arduo pero fascinante proceso de cambio y se sorprendan tanto como yo del particular estilo de vida neozelandés. Espero que encuentren interesante el contenido de mi blog y puedan sentirse libre de preguntar sobre cualquier curiosidad que tengan.
A su vez me gustaría utilizar esta plataforma para adquirir más conocimiento de cultura general e interactuar con ustedes.
Trataré de aportar contenido de calidad y estaré abierta a las críticas y consejos para mejorar día a día.

My goal here is to share a bit of my immigration experience in New Zealand, so that you can join me in this arduous but fascinating process of change and be as surprised as I am by the particular New Zealand lifestyle. I hope you find the content of my blog interesting and feel free to ask any questions you may have.
In turn I would like to use this platform to gain more general cultural knowledge and interact with you.
I will try to provide quality content and I will be open to criticism and advice to improve day by day.
