Christmas is usually a time of reunion and reconciliation between families, friends and co-workers, exchanging gifts, giving candy or any detail to our loved ones, making dinners or meetings to celebrate these dates are usually some of the things that are usually done in family, some do it at home, others decide to make them in groups of families in a specific place, the important thing is always to celebrate the dates and feel the love that keeps them together throughout the year. Some time ago I told you that we had been invited to be part of the Christmas party for the grandparents of the nursing home, and although we still do not have enough funds to cover a Christmas dinner or lunch, it is also true that we could not refuse such an invitation, after all we have been part of the people who bring them some contribution, for a while now.



This has led us to think that these grandparents have the right and it would be so beautiful that they could live first hand, all those emotions and feelings that are awakened in these dates, for many of them, if not all, due to the oblivion of their relatives, these dates must be at least, quite sad and unhappy, so to make them get the affection of strangers who show interest in their lives, is something that lifts their spirits and gets them many smiles, sincere smiles and full of love, love that we have already been able to experience firsthand in some of the activities we have been able to share with them all.



Certainly, the only people who are going to prepare breakfast, lunch or dinner for you, are not only us, fortunately, a couple of civil associations and community projects, do this work, however, and in view of the pleasant invitation they made to us, and that they also invited us to a bazaar that they will do to collect funds in December, refusing to attend would be an act of evil, in our way of seeing things. This is a publication that I probably should have made a couple of weeks ago, but in view of the events that have arisen for me (@fmbs25) it was not possible, however, I have always said that things, when you want to do them, you can achieve them, and it is something in which I have not been wrong.



We have been able to give smiles to these grandparents, not once or twice, but every time we bring them a contribution, no matter how small it is, they already see us as the guys from Hive, which although they do not know what it means, it is very gratifying for us that they recognize that it is not just one person who is going to bring them something but a community that has come together to help them, although it is true that it is not constant, it is also true that it has been done with all the love and goodwill in the world.



Now, it is our desire to give them the opportunity to share a Christmas dinner as probably many of these grandparents in the past would have been able to live with their closest family and friends, nowadays it can be said that these grandparents have formed a family, including the nuns with whom they share their day to day, so a Christmas dinner represents for them a great celebration, and it is something that surely brings them much joy and beautiful memories, because, let's say that they are there sharing life and strengthening ties with those who have become their brothers and sisters in life.



It is our desire, as I mentioned before, to be able to give them a different, pleasant moment that leaves beautiful memories in their lives, a Christmas dinner that leaves a good taste in their mouths, a traditional Christmas dish, and that we could prepare in the kitchen of the asylum, so that we could involve them even more in the process, just as families do in our country, and why not, I would like to invite other Hivers from my town Villa de Cura, to join us and in this way not only see @fmbs25 and @fran-b, taking them some detail, but also see that behind these two beings, there is a beautiful community that supports the work that is being done.



It is for all of the above that we would like to count again on the support of the Hive community, which has already shown us all that it is capable of doing, not only for these grandparents of Asilo Santo Domingo, but for all those who at some point have been reached by the benefits of #hive, which even when we are going through a bear market, continues to help and change lives every day.

La navidad es por lo general una época de reunión y reconciliación entre familias, amigos y compañeros de trabajo, hacer intercambios de regalos, obsequiar dulces o cualquier detalle a nuestros seres queridos, hacer cenas o reuniones para celebrar estas fechas son por lo general algunas de las cosas que se suelen hacer en familia, algunas lo hacen en casa, otros deciden hacerlas en grupos de familias en algún sitio específico, lo importante es siempre celebrar las fechas y sentir el amor que los mantiene unidos a lo largo del año. Hace un tiempo les comenté que nos habían invitado a formar parte de la navidad de los abuelitos del asilo de ancianos, y aunque aún no contamos con los fondos suficientes para cubrir una cena o almuerzo navideño, también es cierto que no podíamos negarnos a tal invitación, después de todo hemos estado formando parte de las personas que les llevan algún aporte, desde hace un rato.



Esto nos ha llevado a pensar en que estos abuelitos tienen el derecho y sería tan hermoso que pudieran vivir de primera mano, todas esas emociones y sentimientos que se despiertan en estas fechas, para muchos de ellos, por no decir que todos, debido al olvido de sus familiares, estas fechas deben ser por decir lo menos, bastante tristes y desdichadas, por lo que hacerles llegar el cariño de desconocidos que muestren interés en sus vidas, es algo que les levanta el ánimo y les saca muchas sonrisas, sonrisas sinceras y llenas de mucho cariño, cariño que ya hemos podido vivir en primera persona en algunas de las actividades que hemos podido compartir con todos ellos.



Ciertamente, las únicas personas que van a prepararle de manera eventual, desayunos, almuerzos o cenas, no somos solo nosotros, por fortuna, un par de asociaciones civiles y proyectos comunitarios, hacen esta labor, sin embargo, y en vista de la grata invitación que nos hicieron, y que además nos invitaron a un bazar que harán para recoger fondos en diciembre, negarse a asistir sería un acto de maldad, a nuestra manera de ver las cosas. Esta es una publicación que probablemente debí hacer hace un par de semanas, pero en vista de los acontecimientos que se han suscitado para mi persona (@fmbs25) no me fue posible, sin embargo, siempre he dicho que las cosas, cuando se quieren hacer, se pueden lograr, y es algo en lo que no me he equivocado.



Hemos podido regalar sonrisas a estos abuelitos, no en una ni dos oportunidades, sino cada vez que se les va a llevar un aporte, sin importar lo pequeño que sea, ya nos ven como los chicos de Hive, que aunque ellos no saben lo que significa, es para nosotros bastante grato que reconozcan que no es solo una persona la que va a llevarles algo sino una comunidad que se ha unido para ayudarles, si bien es cierto no es de manera constante, también lo es que se ha hecho con todo el amor y la buena voluntad del mundo.



Ahora bien, es nuestro deseo poder otorgarles la oportunidad de compartir una cena navideña como probablemente muchos de estos abuelitos en otrora habrían podido vivir con sus familiares y amigos más cercanos, actualmente puede decirse que estos abuelos han formado una familia, incluyendo las monjas con las que comparten su día a día, es entonces que una cena navideña, representa para ellos una gran celebración, y es algo que seguramente les trae mucha alegría y recuerdos hermosos, pues, digamos que, están allí compartiendo vida y estrechando lazos con los que se han convertido en sus hermanos y hermanas de vida.



Es nuestro deseo como ya lo mencione, poder regalarles un momento diferente, grato y que deje recuerdos hermosos en sus vidas, una cena navideña que les deje un buen sabor de boca, un plato tradicional navideño, y que podríamos preparar en la cocina del asilo, de manera que podríamos involucrarlos aún más en el proceso, tal como lo hacen las familias en nuestro país, y porque no, colocarles un poco de música de la época, para animarles un poco más, esto último hay que consultarlo para ver si es posible hacerlo, me gustaría invitar a otros Hivers de mi pueblo Villa de Cura, a que se unan a nosotros y que de esta manera no solo vean a @fmbs25 y @fran-b, llevándoles algún detalle, sino que, vean que detrás de estos dos seres, existe una hermosa comunidad que apoyan el trabajo que se está haciendo.



Es por todo lo antes expuesto que nos gustaría contar nuevamente con el apoyo de la comunidad de Hive, que ya nos ha demostrado todo lo que es capaz de hacer, no solo por estos abuelitos del Asilo Santo Domingo, sino por todos aquellos que en determinado momento han sido alcanzados por las bondades de #hive, que aun cuando estamos atravesando por un mercado bajista, continúa ayudando y cambiando vidas todos los días.
