[ESP]|[ENG] Enero ha sido una montaña rusa de emociones | January has been a roller coaster of emotions.

in Catarsislast year

This month of January was a roller coaster of emotions, many good things happened and other bad things too, this has been a crazy month.

As soon as January began, what I did was to order my new camera and I have been very happy with the camera, I have been practicing a lot and I think that the purchase was totally worth it.

Another thing that I have been doing is waking up earlier in the morning, at 6 am, to be able to take advantage of more hours of the day and be able to do more things, like work, study and practice photography, do exercise and attend to my online business, I have to know how to balance all those things to not burn out myself.

January had started very, very well until bad things began to happen... My girlfriend got sick of her stomach and had a lot of diarrhea and vomited, I had to carry her in my arms to the hospital because she was dehydrated and dizzy, there they gave her serum, vitamins and medicine. Thanks God it was nothing serious and she was able to recover quickly in the hospital.

One day I had to go to Colombia to do some shopping and when I returned I found the refrigerator of my house damaged, apparently it had been failing for days but I had not noticed it, when I arrived all the food was defrosted and I went to buy ice to store to put everything in a container with ice, as it was 11 pm the refrigerator technician could not go so late at night and i had to wait until the next day....

The next day the technician came and repaired the fridge, BUT, all the ice had melted and the blood from the meats, chicken, fish and liver had all mixed up and in my opinion all that food was already contaminated... so we had to throw it away, we lost the food for about 20 days... and the fridge was empty... fortunately I still had money to go buy more meat and chicken the next day but it's always a hard blow to lose so much food...

THAT SAME NIGHT I didn't even have time to grieve for the loss of the food, because after a while someone called me and literally told me: Reny come quickly because your father's truck has turned over and he needs help... oh my god ... the only thing I could think was: i hope that nothing happened to my dad...

Thank God nothing happened to my dad, he was fine... but his truck was destroyed... it turns out that he stopped the car in front of his house, put it to a stop and the truck apparently had the gearbox damaged, it threw the stop and gained speed, went backwards, collided with a wall and spun around until a column from a house stopped the truck. Honestly, it could have been worse, thank God nothing so serious happened, the losses were only material and that can be recovered in the end.

Honestly, the photos don't show how ugly the thing was, and the thing is that the descent where the truck went is quite steep and it could have picked up more speed and knocked down a house...

I show you this video that we took from a neighbor's security camera, it recorded the entire accident.

We just thank God that no one was hurt... material things can be recovered...

And to top it off and end the month, now I got sick, I have the flu, I spent the first 3 days with a sore throat and a little fever, those symptoms have gone away and now I have a very runny nose... I am writing this post sick but this is my way of letting off steam and reflecting what my January 2023 was like, it has been a roller coaster of events and emotions.

What a crazy month...

Looking at the condition of your truck, it seems that it is completely destroyed. Thank God that your father was not seriously injured. This is a miracle as the accident looks serious when watching the video. How is your father's health now? I hope that you also recover from the illness soon.
