Hahaha, he is funny! Must say, he explains the extra dimension in even simpler terms than Roger Penrose did in his books "Shadows of a Mind". Roger used a setting of father and son living in a contained space with just a tiny opening to the outside world. In that world, in the sky a bird passes by they can't see from where they are. The bird passes the line between the sun and them, casting a shadow on the back wall of the space this father and son is in, and they see the shadow of the bird moving along the wall. For them, something appears, moves along and at some point disappears again, after which they started to debate what this is. This is the opening story of the book which explores consciousness, what it is, what it can be, and Roger's views regarding consciousness and the possibility to replicate this by machines, or not. Not an easy read, but definitely a recommendation for some raining days :)
