“Grandpa Grandpa Grand Papa ... tell us the story of the three angels!!!”, yelled Tessa as all the three kids cornered their grandfather.
“These kids... they have been hearing this story every year since they were born ... yet they don’t get bored.”, replied their grandmother.
“Well it’s a good thing I guess I don’t have any other story other than this one”, smiled the old man at his wife.

The old man sat on the sofa near the fireplace while the kids settled themselves around him. They stuck to him like pieces of Tetris.

He started his tale -

“Once Upon a there was a handsome young and very good looking prince, who was good at everything and had everything in the world. He had a castle, a cute dog, an amazingly good looking bike, lots of friends and other stuff. He was the most popular man in his kingdom and everyone loved him. Yet he felt something missing in his heart. Day by day his smile lost its charm as he was losing the purpose of his life. On the outside he still looked happy and joyous but the inside was going hollow.”

“One day the prince found a damsel in distress...”

“Damsel in Distress??? Shouldn’t it be the damsel found the prince in distress??? As I recall the prince had forgotten about his exams and showed up unprepared. Then he begged the damsel to copy off her answer sheet.” , the Old woman intervened as she handed over a mug of hot chocolate to everyone and took her place on the sofa.

“Woman!!! Don’t ruin my story... it’s supposed to sound like a fairy tale...”, complained the old man.

“No kids... the story continues like this ...”, replied the Old woman as she continued their story.

“The Prince was devastated. The fact of a royal test totally slipped his mind. The previous night he was partying with his useless friends. He appeared to the exam and found a beautiful woman seated next to him. She was the smartest in his class. He begged her to copy her Answers.
The woman was good and righteous and she dint let him copy rather she let him fail. On the day of the results it was out that the prince had gotten the lowest score in the class. The woman stepped up to him and said “It’s wrong to copy but I can tutor you”.

“Ok ... I got it from here ...”, the old man cut in and continued the tale.

“The Prince was enchanted and enticed. With this woman he felt belonged. He felt Hope to live on.
Their friendship slowly evolved to love and one beautiful day they got married. The whole world was envious of this very good looking couple. They then announced to the world that they were expecting a baby.
Then one spring morning the woman was rushed to the hospital. She was in pain. The doctor said there was a complication and something had gone wrong. The prince was terrified but his wife smiled at him holding his hand and said “I believe my baby will be fine. Let’s have faith.”

And she was right, the baby was more than fine and rather there was not one but three of the most beautiful girl babies in the world. The Couple were blessed. Hope, Love and Faith were the magic that united them with their babies and hence they named them in the same order, the first as Hope, the second as Love and the smallest as Faith.
And they lived happily ever after with their little angels.”
The old man ended his story looking lovingly at his wife.

“But that’s the name of our moms”, yelled Richie.
“Well yeah dummy because that’s the story of Grandpa and Grandma”, replied Tessa.
“But Grandpa ... if you and Grandma named our moms after magic then what about our names?”, asked the smallest kid.
“Well Love and Hope wanted your names to be ... ummm ... hip and cool”, he replied with Air quotes, “So they named you both Tessa and Rich. And Faith .... Faith is kinda weird... she loves chocolate more than anything and that’s why you my little monster are named chocolate”.
