Bozzlife: My first Hive Power Up Day in a while

I knew I was keeping this photo of a nuclear power plant that my buddy and I drove by handy for a reason. It fits in perfectly with the July 1st Hive Power Up Day that is happening right now.

Usually, the first of each month happens on a weekend and since I take a break from blogging on the weekends, I don't get to partcipate.

July is a different story, and here I am sitting in front of my computer getting ready to power up some of my HIVE.

I saw a post on Twitter the other day indicating that Hive has been "alive" now for one hundred days. Even if they are off by a day or two, I still think that is pretty impressive. I would venture to guess that most of the Steem hold-outs didn't think we would make it this far.

It just goes to show you the power of community and what can be accomplished when people crave freedom whether it is from censorship, centralization, or some other fascist ideal.

I wasn't sitting on a ton of liquid Hive because I power up pretty much everything I make anyway. Every little bit helps and as you can see I was able to power up 40 Hive today. That's 40 HP closer to my goal of 15,000 HP.

I know I could probably grow my account quicker if I put more focus on my curation rewards. However, I enjoy supporting my followers on Hive. I have reserved my account on Steem for shamelessly raking in curation rewards and it has been working out pretty well for me!

My hope is that one day the prices of Steem and Hive will be more closely aligned and then I can move all of that Steem into Hive.

This is going to be a short one today because I still have two more posts to write for Thursday and Friday when I will be out of my office. If you live in the US, have a great and safe Fourth of July weekend! If you live somewhere else, Happy HivePUD!

Any power up is good. I think it is more important to show that good content gets support than to worry about optimising curation rewards. Good luck on milking Steem as I know their 'curators' will downvote anyone they think supports Hive. As far as I am concerned the Steem price can tank, but you need it to stay up for at least the 4 weeks it takes to power down now. We shall see...

Awesomeness, @bozz! Thanks so much for jumping into #HivePUD this month - I'm so glad the 1st was midweek! I don't remember seeing the 100 day tweet (amazing, considering how much time I'm over there...lol), but I agree - it's pretty impressive, and it really shows the power of our community that we've done so well so far. Thanks again, and an early Happy Fourth to you and yours!

Thank you! To you as well!

Yes, thank you! Time to watch Independence Day again :))

One of my favorites!
