The city center of Görlitz has two marketplaces. In this post I'm going to show you the Lower Market. If you step into the square from the south, you will immediately notice this beautiful colorful tower. The old town hall with bell tower has stood here since the 14th century.
Die Innenstadt von Görlitz hat zwei Marktplätze. In diesem Post werde ich euch den Unteren Markt zeigen. Tritt man von Süden in den Platz hinein fällt sofort dieser schöne bunte Turm auf. Das Alte Rathaus mit Glockenturm steht hier seit dem 14. Jahrhundert.
If you let your gaze wander to the left, we see a whole line of magnificent hall houses to which a separate article will be dedicated later. Here the wealth of the traders becomes clear, which has shaped the city for a long time. In order to be able to present the fabrics optimally, the houses were provided with inner halls and decorated from the outside with arcades.
Läßt man den Blick nach links schweifen sehen wir eine ganze Zeile von herrlichen Hallenhäusern denen später ein eigener Artikel gewidmet sein wird. Hier wird der Reichtum der Händler deutlich der über lange Zeit die Stadt geprägt hat. Um die Tücher optimal präsentieren zu können wurden die Häuser mit Innenhallen versehen und von außen durch Arkadengänge geschmückt.

In dieser Stadt kann man an jeder Ecke Details entdecken, wie hier die verschiedenen Steinarbeiten.

We leave the Lower Market with a look at the stag on the oldest building from the Renaissance in Germany.

Very quiet and empty streets everywhere! It must feel cold so people are not coming out. Your camera is really amazing; so much detailed in these old buildings.
