I had already visited this place in the forest once. Much has changed there in the meantime. So reason enough to take another picture of this beautiful tree. Ivy is anchored to it from all sides. Contrary to popular belief, ivy cannot harm such a large tree. With the clearly visible retaining roots, it only holds on to the tree and does not suck it out. However, smaller trees can sometimes have problems with the additional load.
Diesen Platz im Wald hatte ich schon einmal besucht. In der Zwischenzeit hat sich dort aber vieles verändert. Also Grund genug um erneut eine Aufnahme dieses wunderschönen Baumes zu machen. Von allen Seiten ist Efeu an ihm verankert, Solch einem großen Baum kann der Efeu nicht schaden, entgegen der landläufigen Meinung. Mit den gut sichtbaren Haltewurzeln hält er sich nur am Baum fest und saugt ihn nicht aus. Kleinere Bäume können allerdings mit der zusätzlichen Last manchmal Probleme bekommen.
