At the location where I took these pictures, which is in a coastal area in Aceh, Sumatra, the place looks like a locust kingdom. There, these chewing herbivorous insects are seen in large populations. Perhaps, because they chewed Calotropis leaves which contain alkaloids, they are not favored by predators. One type among them seems strange to me. It's like having an attractive "outfit". Its neck appears to be covered in golden metal or some sort of collar, followed by small wings underneath. With light brown interspersed with black here and there and yellow as well, it has a quirky appearance.
