It could be said that perspective and mirage are so closely linked that they form a very well-matched family.
Both one and the other also share their fondness for distorting reality, providing the viewer with sensations that may be beautiful in appearance, but obviously wrong.
A good example of what I say can be found in these images of the famous Fallen Angel in Madrid, where perspective leads us to fall into the trap of mirage, thinking that it is higher than the tower that rises at a certain distance.
But once we are in the right spot and the panorama has regained balance, we soon realize that it was all just a passing effect, an illusion.

Podría decirse, que perspectiva y espejismo están tan estrechamente ligados, que forman una familia muy bien avenida.
Tanto la una, como el otro, comparten, además, su afición por la distorsión de la realidad, proporcionando al espectador sensaciones, quizás hermosas en apariencia, pero desde luego, obviamente erróneas.
Un buen ejemplo de cuanto digo, lo podemos encontrar en estas imágenes del famoso Ángel Caído de Madrid, donde la perspectiva nos induce a caer en la trampa del espejismo, pensando que está más alta que la torre que se levanta a cierta distancia.
Pero una vez situados en el punto correcto y recuperado el equilibrio de la panorámica, no tardamos en darnos cuenta de que todo ha sido un simple efecto pasajero, una ilusión.
