Quarantine shoot w/ Bre!

Pulling in just before midnight with a @hiveio post and that makes me really happy. I had a somewhat frustrating day as far as my time management and schedule. Not as much that I did something wrong, but because of some complicated parenting responsibilities with @guthrie. It’s all good now. I briefly had a chance to catch up with @roadscape, and was able to sit with @ghostfish and @velveteendream. Everyone I saw today got a big bag of vegetables fresh from the garden.

I’m sharing some more quarantine shoot stuff. I’ve been trying to get through these images as they’re hanging over my head a bit while I transition in to my full time Art Director role at @eos.detroit. This session was with a beautiful pinup model named Bre. When I initially announced my virtual shoot sessions, she was one of the first to book. We scheduled something on the calendar and when the day came, she and her parent went deep in to the desert. This would be the first quarantine session I’d done with that setting.

Bre was gorgeous and honestly, everything she did was right. Having her boyfriend with her made things much easier as I could direct him as somewhat of a walking tripod to capture the shot I was seeing. Early in the shoot, we ran in to some problems with reception, but as she moved to higher ground, the picture cleared up. One of the biggest hinderances of these type of shoots is that they’re as much tech support as they are photography. Reviewing these images tonight, I think this was one of my most successful virtual shoots.

And that’s it for tonight. I should have one last set of photos of Bre still to come. I’m committed to finishing all of these in the next two weeks. I’ve been throwing around the idea of opening the bookings for more quarantine shoots, but with my @eos.detroit workload, I’m not realistic in thinking I’ll have time. I’ve been in a bit of a creative rut and I finally feel like I’m emerging so for now, I’ll be sticking to illustration projects. Thanks for reading.
