The philosophy of art!

Hey, Hive! I’m sitting in the Target parking lot as the Model Y superchargers. These Minnesota winters are hard and it’s currently -4º. I’ve been running around throughout the day and the battery has gotten down to about 25%. I do have my 240V charger at home and the power should be turned on from the power company soon, but in the meantime, I don’t want to let my Tesla get that low on charge on this subzero nights. One unexpected silver lining with this car is that I thought I’d get irritated having to sit and charge for 20 or 30 minutes. Not so. I actually have enjoyed being forced to slow down, like this moment writing a Hive blog.

I have some new photography to share. A about a week ago, I shared an image from my Los Angeles travel blog. This shoot was with the same model; a new friend that I met and connected with over Jungian philosophy, music and a near identical outlook on life, politics and society. That was such a relief because I’ve personally been feeling estranged from much of my social circle. She and I immediately connected, so much so that even after the shoot we managed to fit in dinner at a vegan bistro in Pasadena to talk about philosophy and psychology.

These new shots are both from within the Gable estate and outside in the courtyard/garden area. One of my favorite things about this historic location is the versatility of the surroundings and rooms available to shoot. I’ve become very close with the owners over the years and they’ve given me permission to shoot anywhere on the property. I was able to set up some interesting shoots, unique in their own, which is remarkable considering I’ve shot at this location countless times over the last decade. It’s the struggle to alway come up with something new and fresh.

There are plenty more images where these came from. This shoot was one of the standouts from the entire week in Los Angeles. I’ve been happy with the trajectory of the projects I’m currently working on and goals I’m working towards. Today was a pivotal day meeting with the attorney for Mirrorpool. @swarddraws and I have some great freelance art work lined up with big IP’s and I did make it back to kickboxing today for the first time in almost a month. A lot to be positive about in the new year thus far. I’m at 69% on my charge, so I’ll wrap this up and bid you all a farewell for tonight.

Thank you, @ziabutt3836! This is my 21st shoot, believe or not!

@kommienezuspadt
I believe 👍and appreciate 🌹 your skills.

I got interested about what "Jungian philosophy" is all about and searched it. Thanks for sharing this will read more about this.
Great shots 😊

Oh, yes! Definitely explore Jung, @queenmeiko22! He was a friend and mentored with Freud and had some groundbreaking ideas for the era. He's responsible for the concept of the shadow. Thank you!

Hi, @kommienezuspadt, Your travelling places and photography is unique, I always enjoy your photos. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you, @azamrai! My pleasure! Thanks for the comment.

Welcome dear!

Thanks for sharing @kommienezuspadt. You got me interested with Jungian philosophy, I have never heard of it... I think I will search for something online

Great! Do some searching on YouTube for "Jung, the shadow". There's great resources on his work that proposes there's a hidden part of our psyche that needs to be faced and integrated to become fully enlightened.

Ok, thanks I will search for that, the subject seems really interesting

Brah, fine art

Thanks, @manniman!

Fantastic shots. I was just talking to my inlaws about Tesla's and how you have to sit around and wait for it to charge even with the faster chargers. It is good that you have seen that time as a blessing. I'd like to think I would have the same outlook, but knowing my impatience, I doubt that would be the case! :)

It surprisingly hasn't been all that bad, @bozz. Weirdly therapeutic for something to force me to slow down in my life. Writing a Hive blog in the car while it charged was a great way to maximize my time. Only a few days now, though, and the 240V charger will be turned on in my garage. From there, I won't be using superchargers any more unless I'm traveling.

Awesome photography mate!

This must be a sacrifice for art

The travel part is certainly a sacrifice, but I'm still grateful that I'm able to create art like this for a living, @manh20.

Great shots and cool that you guys are kindred spirits and crossed paths..

We definitely have a lot in common and some of our discussions were far outside of the typical conversations/opinions in LA, which was refreshing, @ablaze. Thanks for the comment.

Yes, I can imagine. I visited LA a few times and used to live near Torrance near the cross of Normandy and Vermont for a summer back in 2002, great times, with a bunch of my Irish friends, when we were in Uni... We loved LA and met some really cool heads there, but I can imagine there is another side we didn't see - the superficial and conceited.... We were lucky enough to meet mostly very cool people..

Wow... That last picture really got my attention👌

Thank you, @nkechi! Yeah, she is a stunning lady.
