Natural Medicine - Turmeric and Ghee For Wound

in Natural Medicine4 years ago (edited)

I got a wound day before yesterday in my right thumb. The wound was not visible as it was inside the nail. Yesterday pus (a thick, yellowish liquid that forms in and comes from an infected cut or injury in the body) was coming out from the thumb since it was not visible I could not apply for any medicines.

Then the natural medicine came into the picture that is Ghee and Turmeric. Turmeric has one of the best medicinal benefits which helps to reduce inflammation and help with healing. Why I mixed it with ghee is because ghee is known for its anti-bacterial benefits and thus the healing seems to be faster than the turmeric alone.

Turmeric is a natural anti-bacterial food that helps in fighting the bacteria found on the skin, it also helps to clot the blood, and thus if you have a wound with bleeding it will prevent the wound from bleeding further.

Just note that I have heated the mixture of turmeric and ghee so that it helps to make wound healing faster and thus it will kill any bacteria already exist. After applying it I have covered the wound with a bandage since white bandage was not available I have tied the wound with a piece of cloth. Since the wound was not visible, this method is much better than any traditional medicine because it sends the anti-bacterial inside the skin and thus helps in healing the wound.

Thus I have applied it for 2-3 times in a day and thus now my thumb hurts less and thus the pus is not coming out anymore.

Yeah this is something we call desi style. Always helpful.

Yes, always desi :)

Haha, thanks for sharing

Cool bro, turmeric is best for the wounds that are above the skin. Always be cautious when you use any home remedy for deep cuts. It wont be able to penetrate beneath and has no effect. Every desi style is best when done right.
Hope you are all good now with your wound 👍

Yes it is just a normal cut inside the nails, so to check its effect I have used turmeric and thus it helped a lot. Thats absolutely true that "Every desi style is best when done right."

Sometimes it better to take help from our culture than going to the modern techniques. Our old Indian remedies are superb, just we don't give them value that much.

I also use sometimes such remedies like drinking milk with little bit of turmeric in it, and there was also a thing like wood that my mother gave to me for eating when i was suffering from stomach pain and no medicine was working, don't know that's name, but it was great in relief.

That's absolutely true, I always go for home medicine, then Ayurveda, then homeopathic and lastly allopathic. Because Ayurveda closely resembles our home remedies, whenever I too have cold and cough I take hot milk and turmeric in it. It does wonders. There was Mulethi for cold too, ajwain is also great help so does tulsi

We always use tulsi in tea and its plant is in our home, as we worship it. And yes also the ajwain, very helpful for warming up the body.
That's all have amazing features 👍 and no side effects 😊😉.

I remember that a lot of times when I was injured playing with friends in my childhood, my mom used to give me turmeric milk.

Good old days I guess...

Yes, I even have it when I am a little sick. It does wonders when you have cough and cold.

These things really work.
