Streams of Refreshing

Summer's Bliss

The sun peaked out after two weeks. What remained from the falling rain was beautiful.

Nature restores itself. The water that poured into the mountains now drained into the streams below.

It has been too long since we got out of the house. Now we could jump around the mountain freely. This time we wanted to bring a tent but as soon as we got back inside the house we found the air conditioning to be rather inviting.

Now it's raining again. But I'm glad that for a short time we could bask in the sun and splash in the springs.

Along the trails we found mushrooms we never saw before. These orange criters smiled and greeted us, "Hello."

My son found a pine cone that fell prematurely. He asked, "Could this seed ever grow?" I'm not sure but I think it's too green and not ready. It fell off the tree too soon.

We followed the stream down to a small steam that now looked like a river. We found carp all over.

We said "goodbye" and then hiked back home with these lessons in mind.

  1. Rain washes away the filthy elements left behind
  2. Dry rocks become rushing falls with just a little motivation from above
  3. A cone that falls too early cannot bear fruit.
  4. Mysteries come in tiny sizes beneath our feet that only the humble will know
  5. Little streams lead to big waters

I'm not sure when the rain will stop again but I sure hope we have an hour or two break everyday to look and see and to dry our clothes.

Sort:

Little streams lead to big waters
let it rain, let us droplets become streams, become the big waters and become the flood of light and love and life.

Awesome curation. You got the flow of it.

There is something almost magical about the sun after the rains. It's like a rebirth of life has been completed.
