This past week I have found lots of posts on introspect, perhaps that is because the Natural Medicine Challenge this week was on self-inquiry (find out the results here) or because there are still folks that are experiencing lockdown which has proven to be a good time, with the slowing down of things, to take the time to reflect and see what this all means to you, taking time to embrace the stillness!

One of our members, who lives in Thailand, shared how they have two holidays this past week to take time to pause within this "Great Pause". I highlight that post below...

@artemislives makes her home in Thailand which she notes has a culture where pausing, meditation and spirituality are still honored. This is in contrast to what we find over here in North America. She is sharing what it is like during the official holidays of Asarnha Buja and Khao Pansato, where there is a vibe that is meditative and reflective. Read about it here

@jaynie, although experiencing much grief this last while, has a very uplifting post where she uses an analogy of how, where her life is at right now, is like being ready to write a new book (not just a new chapter but a whole new book!) You can't help but have some of her enthusiasm rub off on you upon reading it. It can be found here

@rmdanza wrote a beautiful post beginning with how dance can connect you with your body and yoga with your soul. Then going on to explain how it is more that just the movement of dance but it is how it allows you to enter into a state of meditation. He took it one step further and shared something he learned by taking a 10 day course. In his words he:

brings you a thousand-year-old exercise that the Buddha himself left on this planet

It is Vipasana and more specifically the meditation practice of Anapana, giving the step by step process, with picture, of how to go about doing this preparatory exercise. I would encourage you to go check it out here

Actually it was me @porters who did this curation, @drrune was last week.

I'm stunned by the amount of #mindfulliife content popping up all over the Hive - have you seen the Mindful Mondays vlogs by @thepixiepost? I'm also appreciating @janie's thoughtful content.
