I remember when I was in elementary school, the brides-to-be wore body scrubs made from yellow fruit and leaves, at that time I didn't know the benefits. But after I went to high school, I just found out that yellow leaves have a distinctive fragrance that many people like.

B. Morphology
As for the morphology of the yellow plant, namely:

1.Plant roots
The root of the plant is a brown taproot, the yellow root has a characteristic with its roots protruding above the soil surface and some of them are underground.

2.Plant stem
The stem of the plant has many branches and is not thorny, the tree height can reach 8 meters, the trunk is a hard stem that has grooves.

3.Plant leaves
The leaves of the plant are green and shiny, oval in shape with a pointed leaf tip and base, pinnate leaf veins.

4.Plant flower
White plant flowers that grow in the armpits of the leaves or the tips of the twigs, the scent of the flowers is very fragrant, so many use it as a hair decoration.

5.Fruit and seeds
Yellow fruit has thick flesh, when young it is green and when it is old it is orange and red, oval fruit shape and shiny.

Plant propagation
Plant propagation can be done through mature plant seeds, marked with a red color on the fruit. Propagation can also use stems, namely by stem cuttings, we only need to take the old stems and replant them. Yellow plants are easy to cultivate and develop.

C.Benefits and uses
In Indonesia, the yellow plant is one of the plants used as an ornamental plant and also as a living fence. Yellow plants are shrubs, so they are easy to grow. Due to technological advances in various modern medicine and cosmetics, the yellow plant which is useful as an herb for traditional medicine and cosmetics is also starting to be forgotten, modern society prefers everything that is practical and instant. Even though the yellow plant is rich in chemical compounds that are useful in our lives.

A number of researchers from the phytochemical laboratory of the Ubaya Faculty of Pharmacy have examined the chemical compounds contained in the leaves of the yellow plant, several chemical compounds contained in the leaves, namely flavonoids, coumarin compounds, indole and carbazole alkaloid compounds, cinnamic compounds and sterols.

Based on the content of chemical compounds contained in the leaves of the yellow plant, the leaves of the yellow plant can be used as herbs for traditional medicine and cosmetics. Some of its benefits are:

1.Treat boils
To treat boils, we use the yellow root. The trick is to take 50 grams of yellow root, wash thoroughly, boil with 1 liter of water, boil until the water reduces and becomes 500 mL. divide into two and drink twice a day.

2.Treat toothache
To treat sensitive teeth and toothache, we use yellow leaves. The trick is to take a piece of yellow leaf, mash until smooth, then place it on sensitive or sick teeth, do this until the pain is reduced.

3.Brighten skin
to brighten the skin, the part that we use is the yellow leaf, the trick is to take the yellow leaf according to the amount needed by our skin for scrubs. the way is to puree the yellow leaves, then rub it all over the body, the yellow leaves are also safe to use for the face. After the yellow leaves start to dry, then flush the skin that we scrub.

4.Treat rheumatism
Increasing age can cause arthritis and rheumatism. We can use yellow root to treat arthritis and rheumatism. The trick is to take a handful of yellow root, clean the outer skin, then boil the yellow root with one liter of water, boil it until it reduces to 700 mL, drink until the joint pain decreases.

5.Improve blood circulation
To improve blood circulation, we can use boiled water of yellow leaves. The trick is to take 10 pieces of yellow leaves and then boil them with 500 mL of water, boil until boiling, drink after warm.

6.Treat external wounds
Yellow leaves can be used to treat external wounds such as swelling. The trick is to take a few yellow leaves, mash the yellow leaves, then stick them to the affected area.
