In defense of the interests of milk companies. U.S. opposes breastfeeding

in Natural Medicine3 years ago

A New York Times report reviewed U.S. attempts to block a decision to encourage breastfeeding at the UN World Health Assembly
Based on decades of research, researchers have come to the decision that breast milk is the healthiest for children and countries should seek to limit inaccurate or misleading marketing of breast milk alternatives.
But the U.S. delegation (which embraces the interests of infant formula manufacturers) tried to amend the resolution, as U.S. officials sought to ease the decision by removing language that called on governments to "protect, promote and support breastfeeding."
When they failed, they turned to threats, according to diplomats and government officials who participated in the discussions.

Ecuador, which proposed the resolution, was under threat, with the U.S. delegation saying that if Ecuador refused to overturn the resolution, Washington would unleash punitive trade measures and withdraw military assistance, which makes the Ecuadorian government reverse the decision.

The efforts of the Americans were mostly unsuccessful, as it was the Russians who eventually intervened to make this decision.

The $70 billion industry, dominated by a group of U.S. and European companies, has seen sales decline in rich countries in recent years as more women accept breastfeeding.

That's my handsome son Wassim.
Now he's got more than a year.
He walks and plays, he starts saying some words, and in excellent health.
He didn't go to the doctor and he didn't take any medication...
He wasn't vaccinated and he's not going to get vaccinated.
He's only had breast milk since he was born

This seems so bizarre. Back in the early 2000s when I had my girls, the UK was all about promoting breast feeding. In fact it was recommended to such a point that some mothers who struggled with it felt guilty for changing to formula. That was 20 years ago and the US still doesn't want to go that route?! I guess healthier babies doesn't feed enough money into the health system.

Maybe that's possible.
But I'm sure they want to grow up a generation of children carrying a lot of diseases that make them lose their lives easier and at best live disabled that affects parents to stop having children because their fear when seeing a disabled child...
I lost my first child, who had a strange disease due to vaccine,
I suffered a lot with my wife when he was sick.
And when he died I decided with my wife not to vaccinate our new baby and we will not use any medications and give him only the breastmilk ...
Now the second child has one year. he is in excellent health and distinct from the rest of his peers of kids, he grows quickly physically and mentally ...

    • I paid a high price for allowing them to vaccinate my son, and I'm trying to tell everyone about the risk of vaccination so that another family doesn't live the same life as I did

Thank you @naturalmedicine so much for your support & comment

Upvoted and promoted.

Thank you for sharing your report and thoughts. I am not surprised about government behaviors regarding breastmilk. Doctors touted the benefits of breastmilk when my wife had our two kids. Sadly, she was only able to give breastmilk to our kids for only a couple of months after they were born.
