Hello, friends especially foodies!

Recently after sunday churching i went to an indonesian special dish restaurant. This restaurant sold food that authentically came from Solo, a city in Central Java, where our President came from.

You could see that from the front, this restaurant was quite wide and also it had a quite large number of customers.

From the front they showed us their new menu, tek tek. Tek tek referred to the rice and noodle which were usually traditionally sold in stall or small wagon, the seller sounded tek tek to show everybody that he is selling it, that was the reason it is called tek tek.

For this tek tek menu they had fried rice, fried noodle and nyemek (wet style) noodle.

Inside they had a quite large dining area with authentic batik floor. Rattan cover for their light ceiling. Authentic v kind of roof wall on one of its' side.

Many of customers were around me, it made the place full..

And they had quite unique style of the brick wall under their showing case area. It was kind of candi style i think. Candi is a kind of stone relief, that engraved in kind of human, or any objects.

Their batik style of floor looked very clearly and detail here.

It made the Indonesian heritage style could be figure out from their interior.

They had a quite large range of food choices there, which all were Indonesian.

After ordering, i needed to wait around 10 minutes for the mendoan tempeh and javanese pandan tea.. then another 15 minutes for the langgi rice.

Here was the mendoan tempeh.

Mendoan tempeh had soft texture because it was half fried. It had light savory flavour and it was one of our authentic side dish. And great that it had non oily, non greasy texture. It was not the best one i ever had because the one i liked served with the sauce that made mainly from chilli and sweet soy sauce.

Their Javanese pandan tea served hot. It had authentic Javanese tea with pandan leave which gave pandan fresh authentic flavour to the tea. I had it with the liquid sugar separately and i put it a bit so it tasted a bit sweet.

For their langgi rice, it had yellow turmeric rice which had light savory flavour and tasty because it contained coconut milk.

Langgi rice had some dishes in it like fried chicken in light savory flavour, potato liver in chilli paste which had savory spicy flavour; krengsengan traditionally cooked beef with coconut which had soft texture and sweet flavour; beef floss which had a bit crunchy texture in sweet flavour; light savory fried omellete egg and also crispy sweet potato chips.

For the menus i had it was all 78,540 IDR or around 5.24 USD. I think the price was quite fair cause it was tasty and i was full having it all.

This was one of my favorite restaurant, but not anymore. The portion is getting smaller and smaller and now the taste varies greatly between outlets.
