Esta ultima semana he estado preparando muchas combinaciones de arepas y es que la verdad es un alimento que me gusta mucho y la harina de maíz precocida si bien es cierto que sabe muy rico , lo bueno es que puede absorber distintos sabores con mucha facilidad dando como resultado un deleite para el paladar.

This last week I have been preparing many combinations of arepas and the truth is that it is a food that I really like and the precooked corn flour if it is true that it tastes very rich, the good thing is that it can absorb different flavors very easily resulting in a delight for the palate.

Para estas arepas emplearemos como siempre la harina de maíz preocida en mi caso de la marca harina pan y batatas dulces, mas específicamente el puré de las mismas yo en esta ocasión adquirí la variante en tono naranja.

For these arepas we will use as always the pre-soaked corn flour, in my case of the brand harina pan and sweet potatoes, more specifically the mashed sweet potatoes, this time I acquired the orange variant.

Hacer el puré de batata es tan simple como picarlas y poner las ha hervir o llevarlas al horno hasta que las mismas este suaves para las arepas aproximadamente se necesitara una taza de este puré y de harina media taza aproximadamente la idea es ir colocando poco harina de maíz y agua hasta que tenga la masa una consistencia manejable ni muy dura ni muy suave, una consistencia que nos permita moldear.

Luego se llevan al sarten o budare y se doran por ambos lados. Esta sin duda es una de mis combinaciones favoritas para hacer batatas su sabor dulces es insuperable y combinada con un relleno salado es delicioso.
