RAMEN INAGI | Perhaps the Best Ramen Bowl I ever had!

in Foodies Bee Hive10 months ago

If there was one type of food I would like to eat before the end of the world, it would be Ramen! 😆 Yep, nothing else!

My love for Ramen even grew stronger when my friend brought me to one of the tastiest Ramen restaurants found in BGC or Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, Manila!

My excitement was evident upon seeing its Japanese signage and ornamental designs from the outside. The name of the restaurant stands out with its brightly lit letters spelled RAMEN NAGI.

As my friend waits for someone to cater to us, I took notice of the open kitchen where the chefs can be seen making different Ramen bowls for the customers! The noodles already looked so good. I wasn't expecting this unique setup. I would definitely seat close to the kitchen during my next visit.

The aesthetic is quite modern on the inside however one could still feel the Japanese vibes of the interior design. We chose a table near the wall where we had a 360 view of everything else. In the middle though was a long table where people can share a seat with other customers.

Another thing that took me by surprise is their Menu book! I could consider it a book I guess because it's hardbound, full of images and descriptions of the food they cater! It was amazing for me because I'm a visual person! I always would like to see photos beforehand of the food I'm going to get. And Ramen Nagi's menu just provided that need. Just look at these...

Ramenking17.JPG

Ramenking20.JPG

Ramenking21.JPG

The first page tells the history of the restaurant's owner and chef. The second page tells you how to Eat the Ramen and the following pages show a variety of Ramen dishes you can choose from.

Ramenking24.JPG

Ramenking25.JPG

Ramenking26.JPG

Even the photos of the Ramen on the menu already look so delicious! They also serve other dishes like chicken, salad, gyoza, and pork tonkatsu. They even have kiddie meals for the young ones.

Ramenking27.JPG

Ramenking28.JPG

Ramenking29.JPG

Another unique thing about this restaurant is you get to customize your own Ramen bowl! What I mean about this is you get to choose how the flavor and the thickness of the noodles. For example, for the richness of taste, the options were Light, Normal, and Rich. Then for the special sauce, the options were None, Light, Normal, Heavy, and Extra Heavy. And the list goes on.

Here is my order sheet:

Ramenking35.JPG

So I had Green King Ramen (Php495 or $9) with a rich taste, heavy sauce, and a normal amount of garlic, with pork belly and cabbage vegetable with 1 spicy or I think this was 1 serving of their Butao homemade fire sauce. My noodles were thick and I had 1 Nori on the side. For the drinks, I had Teaco Mixed Berries (Php99 or $1.8).

Ramenking37.JPG

My friend chose the Limited King with a rich taste, heavy sauce, and a heavy amount of garlic, pork shoulder, and green onions. She had 3 spicy for the Butao Homemade fire sauce. I guess she loves spicy so much. She also chose thin, soft noodles with cabbage as her side dish. She got the Teaco Honey Lemon for her drink.

Ramenking38.JPG

Her food arrived first and it was just so mouthwatering with the orange-colored soup and the shrimp toppings in the middle. I did notice that the noodles were thin compared to mine. She let me have a taste of the soup and I was so impressed with how it turned out. It had this light but rich taste and the spiciness was just the right amount where I could still enjoy it.

A part of me wanted to order the Ramen dish as her but I'm allergic to seafood. 😅

Ramenking40.JPG

A few minutes later on, my Green King Ramen bowl arrived and I was just excited to devour it as soon as the server laid it in front of me.

The soup was made from tonkatsu broth which gave it a deep and rich flavor. I also appreciated the "lavish" amount of grated parmesan cheese that was topped on the noodles. The pork belly and chasu were also a bonus that completed the set. I also loved how my noodles were thick.

Ramenking45.JPG

And as what their menu book said on how to eat the Ramen bowl, I first lifted the bowl and slurp the soup. I tasted the first layer. Then I dig in deep into the bottom of the bowl and took a bite of the noodles and the flavor was amplified in my mouth. This was the second layer. And lastly, I mixed everything in my dish and continued slurping the soup and eating the noodles that were already filled with their special "fire sauce". This was the third layer.

After that, I couldn't stop myself from eating mouthfuls of noodles. 😂 I couldn't stop telling my friend too how grateful I was that she brought me here. Although I was already so full midway, I had to finish everything to give respect to the people who made my delicious Ramen bowl. It was such a foodgasm I would never forget.

Ramenking42.JPG

I never thought I would still be able to find an affordable restaurant that serves delicious Ramen in Manila during my short visit there! I am coming back to have a go with their other Ramen flavors.

If you are curious where Ramen Inagi is and want to try it out too, they are located at the 2nd Level, One Bonifacio High Street Mall in BGC.

I would definitely go for your friend's dish, it looks amazing and the combination of flavors is very tasty, which you describe so well, it sounds spectacular. Too bad you are allergic, in your situation I would not have dared to try it.

You are right in describing that menu as a book hahaha it is very complete, but I think it is a good idea when the food you prepare is something exotic like that. If I hadn't read the explanation you followed to eat ramen the right way, I wouldn't have had any idea about it. I'm writing it down for when I have the chance to try it, because indeed, I've never eaten ramen, shame on me hahaha.

We definitely had 2 different flavors of Ramen and I got to try both! If I ever had the chance to come back here, I am trying out the other flavors.

This is so true. And when I think about it, I wonder if this is the same thing from some restaurants in other countries? But if not, the internet is just at our finger tips. 😂

Make sure to eat Ramen the proper way especially on your first time! 😁 I heard in Japan, chefs would appreciate you more if you even make those slurping sounds so loud that others could hear you enjoying their masterpiece!

I write down all your recommendations for when I finally go to try it, I just have to get the right place so that the first experience is as close as possible to the original. Oh and of course I will be attentive to if they care to provide us with the indications to eat it correctly hahaha.

From the aesthetics to the menu to the interior decoration, this place is a very exciting place to be at!

The dishes both on the menu and the ones you two order, look amazingly delicious and with what you've said, I'm certain they tasted marvelously.

The customizing of the kiddies meal is quite interesting 😅

Can't agree more! I would have really wanted what the kiddies meal ramen would look like. Perhaps I should order one even if I'm not a kid anymore 😂

The next time you make it there, you could try it out😂, you never can tell, it may come out nice.

What a pleasure to see your publication, I have heard this dish more and more often and it looks delicious, the restaurant is very nice, thank you for sharing your experience with us.

Way delicious than the photos indeed! Have you tried Ramen?

I thought as much.

No. Not yet

Ramen is delicious plus a bowl was enough to feel the tummy. Yet , honestly the first time I tasted one, I didn't like the taste..Perhaps my taste buds weren't used to it, sanay sa noodles lng 😂
Though after ordering I learned to love it, just quite expensive 😂😁

True indeed na medyo pricey but worth it tlga for Ramen lovers like me! hehe

Ramen Nagi, my favorite ramen go-to place! kahit mas expensive sya than other ramen stores
Try the kiddie meal next time, it has a smaller portion of ramen but with side dishes 😁

Ay! Ayan pala eh. Ramen date tayo next time!

I really love Ramen too, but I never tasted this Ramen Inagi, so this would be added to my list po. It looks so delicious ♥️ I hope that I can visit this kind of resto ♥️ Thank you for sharing po.

I liked especially the menu, such a nice graphic and the fact that you can costimize your dish, so yummy 😋

The menu was just amazing. It would be nice to have other restaurants copy their style. Do you also love RAmen?

Good, great time and great ramen you had @indayclara
