FOOD TRIP THURSDAYS: From Gooey Cheesy Dishes and Cebuano Street Barbeque to Feisty Korean Kimchi Rice Bowls and Yummy Chinese Food! You'll Be "Busog"!

On Tuesdays, Write to Wander gives you "food for thought" on our Think-Talk Tuesdays series (check out the first post here). That is why on Thursdays, I have decided to write about physical food this time, to share with you my love for eating, and I think it is safe to say that almost all people love to eat, too, right? 🤩🥰

So, join me on Thursdays, and let's have food trips, yes?! 😘For today's post, as this is the first for this series, I'll share with you my recent food cravings (July-August-September) and how I was satisfied/ full (busog) from eating them. 😅 *(PS, I already posted about my love for samgyupsal on my previous posts so you can actually check them out, too. CEBU, PHILIPPINES--In Cebuano-Visayan language or Bisaya, we say "busog" to mean that we are "full" from eating something. So, the next time you tell someone you are full, you can say, with all your might and satisfaction, "I AM BUSOG".😁

FAT DOIS 🥰 _{Yummy Cheesy Dishes!}

Who else loves cheese? Raise your right hand and say ME! 🙋🙋‍♂ I love food with CHEESE that is why I've always wanted to go to Fat Dois here in Cebu. I first knew of this restaurant way back in 2019. In fact, my co-teachers and I have been planning to go, but for some reason, we always do not end up going there huhu. Fat Dois is known because everything on its menu has--yeah you guessed it right--cheese!! To know more about this restaurant, you may click here Fat Dois Facebook Page.

CHEESE RIBS for only 269 PHP | I have always loved eating pork ribs since I can remember. Theirs do not disappoint! The tenderness of the meat is just right and the sauce tastes so good--salty, savoury, with a hint of pepper. And the cheese enhances the flavour!😍

SPICY NOODLES with Spam and Cheese for only 199 PHP | I began to love eating Korean noodles way back in 2017 when I grew to love watching K-Drama HAHAHA. I've tried eating noodles with cheese (the instant noodles, I mean) but theirs taste better! I think their cheese was good that's why the noodles was yum!

CHEESY CHIX in Spicy Flavour for only 219 PHP | My most favourite dish in Fat Dois (compared with the Ribs and Noodles) because the marinated chicken was BEYOND GOOD~! I cannot put a finger as to why it tastes great for me! The cheese enhanced its flavour all the more, so this dish is a WIN for me and I surely will recommend it to people who will visit Fat Dois!

Last weekend, I was craving for street barbeque because it has been a long time since I ate any! My friends and I went to Nanay's Grill in Capitol, Cebu City. It was my first time visiting the place and I learned that they are quite famous in Cebu City for the quality and taste of their affordable barbeques! 😱

SIP CAFE 🥰 _{Kimchi Rice Bowls}

I mentioned in my previous post about two weeks ago that I went to Sip Cafe. I went there again Monday this week! I was craving for bulgogi and I didn't want to go far, so I
I urged my friends to try the Kim-Gogi-Bap because I know they will love it as they love Korean food, too. And guess what?! Love it they did!😍

Two Kim-Gogi-Bap Bowls for us, please! And one order of cheese balls, too! 🥰 *PS, We shared one bowl as the serving is good for two people actually.😍 My other bestie shared with her boyfriend

The plating and presentation make your mouth water, right? I am into the feisty taste of the kimchi and the smoky savoury flavor of the marinated bulgogi! This bowl was perfect to sastify my cravings, yeyyyy! 😍

Fried parmesan cheese balls with red sauce | This tastes okay, I guess. I was expecting it to be cheeeeeesy but my expectation was not met.😰

When I crave for Chinese cuisine, I easily think about Majestic Restaurant in Ayala Centre Cebu! Their Chinese food taste authetic and they come at affordable prices, too!
