My choice to protect!

in Education2 years ago

After realizing that our schools are no longer safe for our kids, I became a bit depressed and I felt robbed. I had to go through a period of deprograming myself, to accept that homeschooling is the best way to go. All I could think about is how I'll miss out on his very special first day of school, sports days and proud moments, report cards, new friends, school photos, ect. I actually felt devastated.

The fact is, our schools are no longer safe, our pass rate is absolutely ridiculous and our kids are being fed nonsense without our knowledge sometimes.

My eldest son still attends high school. Just last year, one of his teachers had an outburst over the vaccine and she told the kids that soon the government will visit schools and vaccinate kids and they don't need the parents permission. What? Last year was a tough year for my son. One of his friends committed suicide, shot himself, because he got bullied at school! He was 14 years old. I've heard some hair raising stories of things that happened just in 2021. Kids were kidnapped from school, not only by strangers, but there were even children that were kidnapped by teachers! Teachers assault kids, kids assault teachers, kids are being molested and raped at school! Kids are killing kids! The school I planned to enroll my 6 year old in was robbed at gun point and at this same school there has been a few kidnapping attempts right at the gate. This is a good school, a safe school. Schools are being attacked by certain governmental groups in riots aiming to harm kids because of their skin color! We had to fetch our oldest son, in a hurry, because of such threats to the school. No, no, no!!!

The 27-year-old grade RR teacher, as well as Laetitia Nel, 40, Bafokeng Molemohi, 24, and Pieter van Zyl, 50, pleaded guilty to kidnapping and extortion charges in the Gauteng High Court, sitting in Palm Ridge.

Human, whose hair is now dyed dark red, and her co-accused entered into a plea and sentencing agreement with the state.

The state told the court that the child’s parents had signed and accepted the contents of the plea bargain.

The court heard that the accused unlawfully and intentionally deprived the child of her freedom.

In her plea agreement, Human admitted to kidnapping the pupil from her mother outside the gates of Laerskool Kollegepark in Vanderbijlpark on September 2. She was bundled into a white Toyota Fortuner and it sped off.

In a video posted on social media on Thursday, the EFF reiterated its threat to close schools if the Department of Basic Education does not do so. The individual in the video warns that there are only two days left and that any child who shows up in school uniform on Monday does so, according to him, at their own risk. The FF Plus considers these threats to be highly irresponsible. https://www.politicsweb.co.za/politics/threat-to-close-schools-eff-is-playing-with-fire--

The pass rate is a joke. When I went to school I had to have at least 50% to pass, today you only need 30%, and as I understand this will also be lowered.
How sad is that? Our kids have become lazy.

"My conclusion is that the current government reduced the pass mark to obtain the higher pass rate. The high school education in most countries have a 50% pass for all subjects. But in South Africa the government has successively dropped the final pass rate. For some subjects it is now as low as 30%. Last year learners were given an extra 5% allowance for up to three subjects." https://theconversation.com/pass-rates-for-school-leavers-in-south-africa-are-failing-students-and-universities-169876

Three teachers from Mqabo Junior Secondary School in Engcobo, Eastern Cape are facing suspension after they allegedly assaulted a nine-year-old Grade 3 pupil.

The teachers were arrested on Wednesday and charged with assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm after they attacked the pupil they accused of telling others that she had seen two teachers kissing at school.

***The suicide of a 16-year old Eastern Cape learner this week has once more thrust the issue of bullying into the spotlight. Lathitha Nako, a grade 10 learner at Bhisho high school, swallowed a pesticide and died in hospital on Wednesday.

Her devastated family is demanding that bullying at schools must be addressed to prevent similar tragedies.

Before her death, she spoke openly about the bullying she endured on social media platforms.

Speaking out telling the world what she is going through, contemplating suicide. Then, going through with it. But that is not the person her family knew.*** https://www.sabcnews.com/sabcnews/bullying-under-the-spotlight-after-16-year-old-eastern-cape-learner-commits-suicide/

And the list goes on and on. Something bad happens every single day. I don't want my kids to be part of this. I won't risk it!

Proverbs 22:5-6 ~ 5Thorns and snares lie on the path of the perverse; he who guards his soul stays far from them. 6Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.

Protect your children. It's only going to get worse.
