Technical issues, I do apologize. Let me explain. When I first attempted to publish it, it was too long and an error message came up, then my phone died before it had published when I hit the button after removing a few lines. I suppose I should have checked my posts to confirm it hadn’t published, but since I had selected the ‘post to my blog’ feature, and it wasn’t on my blog, and I was tired and it hadn’t published before my screen went dead, I naturally assumed it wasn’t up; I didn’t even know yet if I had shortened it enough to be accepted until it posted the second time, and I didn’t know it was a double post until after it posted and immediately had so many votes. I was of course seeing that first post, but I was baffled and it took me a minute to figure out what had happened :)

If there was a way to go back and decline payout post-publishing I would do that, I tried, but it seems one can only do that before initial publishing. As soon as I realized my error, I also tried deleting it, but it had like 2 or 3 votes at that point, and Hive will not allow deleting of posts after even a single vote, so in that regard my hands are tied by hive limitations. Every other platform I’m aware of allows deleting of content, and at least having the ability to do so within the first few minutes of posting it would be a handy feature for the blockchain, even if the content is only removed from the front ends - for times like these. Thankfully most people have not double-voted, voting on only one or the other, and I refrained from voting either post out of principle, although it hardly matters with my small vote power. Hopefully you can see that it was not my intention to abuse the blockchain in an attempt to farm extra votes...
