Acting Out

To get things done in the world, to make things happen, it requires more than thoughts and emotions alone. It requires engaging, creating and acting in the shared external objective reality.

Thinking provides us with knowledge, but what we do with what we know is how we get things done in the world. Actions are the culmination, unification and synthesis of our internal expressions of consciousness (thoughts and emotions), as an external expression of consciousness (actions).

First we are being internally, and then we are doing externally. Being comes first, but the doing is what we work towards accomplishing in order to accomplish tasks in the world, but it build a home or live in peace with others.

Philosophy has an end goal of arriving at the wisdom of right-action.
Wisdom has an internal component in being wise in understanding, in your being, but the more important wisdom is when you act and engage in that understanding by creating into the world based on that understanding. The purpose for all humans at the core essence is to evolve consciousness towards greater wisdom of right-action.

Proper wisdom is not simply knowledge or understanding, but acting on that understanding and living a certain way based on engaging in right-actions. Right-action is based on moral truth. At the highest level, philosophy -- the love of wisdom -- is ultimately the love of right-action and the love of moral truth.

True philosophy is based in moral truth and determines our conduct in life to act rightly. What other form of love of wisdom is there truly? Is the love of wisdom to act foolishly? To act immorally? To act amorally? A way of living not based in moral truth is not a philosophy but an ideology that leads one astray into foolishness and suffering, be it for ourselves, others or both. The “love” of wisdom to behave and conduct our lives in a way that is conducive to producing rightness, and reducing wrongness, is how we heal ourselves and the world from its current condition.

Actions are external, and symbolically represent the active sacred masculine, the counterpart to the receptive or passive sacred feminine. Action is conative in terms of the scientific description as a trinity of the cognitive, affective and conative theory of mind. Thought, emotion and will or volition is more accurate as the trinity, but all action derives from a will do act. Without the will to act, the only actions or behaviors would be automatic ones, like breathing or swallowing for instance.

In the Christian trinity there is Jesus as the “son of God”. “God” was the father, internal active masculine symbolism, while the “son of God” is the external active masculine representation of ourselves. There are other trinity’s involving a father and mother that produce a divine male offspring, such as Osiris, Isis and Horus. The original “Madonna and Child” symbolism likely comes from mother Isis and child Horus statues.

The divine male child, is masculine and red, but also green because actions are the result of a synthesis between thought and emotion. The divine child is produced from the unification of the masculine and feminine. The alchemical wedding of the father (the internal masculine qualities of consciousness), and the mother (the internal feminine qualities of consciousness), harmonize and unite to produce an external masculine synthesis.

The optimal type of actions are right-actions, as opposed to wrong-actions. These are wise actions. A synthesis of knowledge and understanding produces wisdom. Thoughts and emotions are the internal, unseen, hidden “spirit” aspects of consciousness. When they are unified in harmony, non-dual, non-contradictory, not in opposition and are aligned with what is right, good and true, as a truly “unified mind” and “one eye” with a developed “heart-care” center, then we produce wisdom of right-action. Actions can be good or evil, and even contain qualities of both. Discerning right from wrong more effectively allows us to better progress in our lives together.

This trinity symbolism is found in many ancient stories, legends and mythologies. The holy trinity symbolic representation is found in many literary works or artistic representations from Sumer, Babylonia, India, Greece, Egypt, Germany, Nordic lands, and more. The trinity symbolism was used in many ways to represent different understandings.

"Without the will to act, the only actions or behaviors would be automatic ones, like breathing or swallowing for instance."- This should be the key message in today's world! They must want to and finally act.

It's quite odd that so called intellectuals (pseudo-intellectuals as I see it) consider free will to not exist.

Maybe they don't want free will to exist. Maybe it's just their reductionist thinking that refuse to perceive anything beyond the material world.

They only pseudo-intellectual is you. It has been proven by most recent discoveries in neuroscience and behavioral evolution that there is no such thing as free will. Every single decision that we make is an outcome of deterministic events that are mixed with random events. Our brain already makes a decision for us in a super tiny fraction of time before we are even aware of it. It has been proven experimentally.
The whole "free will" concept has a historical foundation that comes from ignorant and superstitious beliefs, often coming from religion. The belief that puts humans over all other living beings in the Universe and over the laws of nature. It is based on the fallacious, arrogant idea that human being is the only thing in the Universe that is not conditioned by the environment and can arrive at decisions regardless of environmental influence. We do not choose anything. There is no free will. Every single action that we take (or the illusion of "choice") is based upon our previous experiences (intellectual, emotional, genetic makeup, etc) and current environmental/physiological factors). The brain makes a decision for us automatically. We may think that w choose to like this type of man/woman, book, or this color but it is an illusion. This has been already chosen automatically by our brain before we are aware of the decision.
Understanding that there is no free will gives us a humble and compassionate understanding of human behavior and human nature. We stop judging people so aggressively.
Of course, it does not mean that we should, for example, release sociopaths from jails and should not prosecute them. We have a right to defend ourselves against such behavior and isolate people who are so cognitively damaged that are being any therapy and will only keep harming others. But a more important an effective thing to do to prevent certain behavior (that is objectively and scientifically considered abhorrent) is to change social conditions that sustain and perpetuate such behavior. Instead of a neverending patchwork of putting people in jail.

But it is obviously hard to grasp for a conspiracy theory freak who is so scientifically illiterate.

You're right: action is an important component of wisdom.
In a previous article you said: We don't have all the time in the world. Considering this, do you think it's good to think in terms of effectiveness?

Yes, be effective. With your previous comment, speaking one to one is not as effective as putting information out for many to get access to. Not that it shouldn't be done, but it's more demanding with less potential results. You can't convince people who don't want to be convinced.

You're right: it's good to be effective. And it's good to share information in both mediums: online and offline.
Do you think our approach for sharing information matters?
What happens when we use an approach through which we push people further away?

The first abstract posts were cute but this is so boring now. What happened to your news posts?
