Lockdowns are a 'Mass Casualty Incident' Say 600 Doctors

The lockdown is necessary to save lives, huh? Not according to 600 physicians who have written a letter to Trump explaining how the lockdown, or shutdown as they put it, has negative consequences that are being ignored.

“The downstream health effects...are being massively under-estimated and under-reported. This is an order of magnitude error," according to the letter initiated by Simone Gold, M.D., an emergency medicine specialist in Los Angeles.

“Suicide hotline phone calls have increased 600%,” the letter said. Other silent casualties: “150,000 Americans per month who would have had new cancer detected through routine screening.”

From missed cancer diagnoses to untreated heart attacks and strokes to increased risks of suicides, “We are alarmed at what appears to be a lack of consideration for the future health of our patients.”

Is this new? Has this "just" be figured out? No. This has been known since the lockdowns were put into effect. Many doctors, microbiologists, virologists and epidemiologists have have been against the lockdown, warning that the long term effects and deaths would surpass the deaths that are alleged to come from COVID-19.

Even this article on Forbes is calling this mass hysteria and fear a "COVID-phobia". That is surprising to see. People suffering from heart attacks are staying home rather than "risk" going to a hospital, and then they die. It doesn't help that in April, if you called for help from an ambulance in New York, rather than saves lives, the NY state had decided to issue a guideline to emergency workers to forget about reviving people without a pulse when they arrive on scene. Why? Because... coronavirus could spread more and they also don't want to use resources on these dying people.

A memo issued from the state Health Department said these changes were:

"...necessary during the COVID-19 response to protect the health and safety of EMS providers by limiting their exposure, conserve resources, and ensure optimal use of equipment to save the greatest number of lives."

Saving lives was so unimportant, that many people who ended up in hospitals were manipulated and pressured into signing DNRs, do not resuscitate wavers. This increased the death count for alleged (inflated and fabricated) "COVID-19 deaths".

Treatments for heart attacks in hospitals have dropped by 40%. The physical and mental health of the nation is dropping:

“The millions of casualties of a continued shutdown will be hiding in plain sight, but they will be called alcoholism, homelessness, suicide, heart attack, stroke, or kidney failure. In youths it will be called financial instability, unemployment, despair, drug addiction, unplanned pregnancies, poverty, and abuse."

"It is impossible to overstate the short, medium, and long-term harm to people’s health with a continued shutdown,” the letter says. “Losing a job is one of life’s most stressful events, and the effect on a person’s health is not lessened because it also has happened to 30 million [now 38 million] other people. Keeping schools and universities closed is incalculably detrimental for children, teenagers, and young adults for decades to come.”

Millions of people having their lives destroyed, and many of them will be ending up dead... versus an alleged new virus that is as deadly as the seasonal flu (as much of the death count is inflated with regular non-COVID deaths). Hmmm... Boy... that's some hard math to do... let's keep the lockdown! We need to keep people safe (while more people will die as a result of these stupid draconian lockdown measures).

Contrary to the idiots who've always paraded a variation of the narrative that the lockdown saved lives, and those who oppose it are selfish and only care about money:

“Ending the lockdowns are not about Wall Street or disregard for people’s lives; it about saving lives,” said Dr. Marilyn Singleton, a California anesthesiologist and one of the signers of the letter. “We cannot let this disease change the U.S. from a free, energetic society to a society of broken souls dependent on government handouts.” She blogs about the huge damage the virus reaction is doing to the fabric of society.

Yes, that's what all of this is. A reaction to a virus. A reaction created by bad science and bad models, fomented in to mass hysteria and fear by the media, and leading to authoritarian draconian measures imposed through coercive aggression by the government.

Some of the mainstream media talking heads couldn't handle this letter's truth. The AP spun it to be about "pro-Trump" doctors pushing for a rapid reopening. That's why the mainstream media is often all about fake news. They are playing political games and don't really care about lives.

Gold, who initiated the letter, refuted the AP claims, saying: "This was 100% physician grassroots. There was 0% GOP."

Already in Walnut Creek, California, suicide attempts in 4 weeks number the amount of suicide attempts in the previous year. That's 12 times more suicide attempts in a month compared to normal.

Drug use is on the rise as more people suffer from anxiety. Life has more suffering now, and becoming unbearable for many. It's like Brave New World, where life is so dismal, everything is controlled, that people daily pop their SOMA to get high and escape reality.

This is our "new normal". A society of rising depression. Children disconnected, wearing masks and gloves in schools, staying 6 feet away from each other, when they have a survival rate like the flu. Welcome to the Brave New World, brought to you by the belief in authority called government.

Sort:

There does seem to be a collective hysteria over the actual risks that COVID-19 poses to the individual. We've had cancer treatment groups, mental health charities and child welfare organisations in the UK all come out and say pretty much the same thing as these US doctors.

Anecdotally, a relative of mine who works for the NHS commented how eerily quiet any non-COVID ward has been these last few months as people just stop turning-up to hospital for fear of catching this 1 virus.

Some school children were allowed to return to class from yesterday but even that has been greeted with general panic and a fundamental misunderstanding of the risks associated. Do you know how many school-aged children have died of the virus in this country? 3! And they all, unfortunately, had underlying health conditions. It's very sad for the families of those involved but as a parent of 2 young kids I see the risks involved of them not going to school and getting an education as much greater than them going and potentially contracting coronavirus.

The risks associated for teachers have also been a major point of argument but again I don't see where the risk is for them. Schools never actually closed in the UK as they remained open for the children of key workers so we have some pretty decent facts and figures to go on in regards the risks of transmission in the classroom. There is no evidence of a child having passed the virus onto a teacher during that time and no teacher who was working during full lockdown has died.

The analogy of a Brave New World is an interesting one especially as we now see lockdown at the same time as state-sponsored violence. The messaging and psychological conditioning surrounding coronavirus has been far more effective at controlling populations than the deployment of riot police has been to this point which is ultimately the basis of Huxley's dystopian society where children are conditioned from birth into a life of servitude

Indeed, kids have gotten it, not noticed, no symptoms, or mild. Few die. It's not a biggy, yet people can't see reality. Good point on BNW, the virus/fear is so effective to control and bring in that future. If we don't beat this mind control, kids will be warped even more into the conditioning of servitude.

The lockdown accomplished many of the elites' goals all at once.

We should have only used lockdowns sparingly. And none of the social engineering (plexiglass between every cashier and customer in the country in a single week?) needed to happen. Sweden's got it right. No lockdown, limited social distancing, educate and empower the public. They're still working, eating out, seeing family and friends, etc. They had what amounted to a bad flu season, basically, and now they're on the mend while the rest of us face down a "second wave that will be worse than the first" (according to mainstream media).

Indeed, Sweden did well. People were screaming and still are at Sweden, how bad it is. They have no clue. Brainwashed idiots. The plexiglass shit is hilarious. It's everywhere.

Here in my city, several suicides of older people have been reported, including that of a young man who did not want his mother to help him with his homework. While it's true that the suicides may have been related to some personal or mental problem, confinement may have accelerated the crisis or perhaps made the problem worse. Loneliness is a very bad counselor! You can't isolate a human being. It is unnatural! Greetings

Yes, confinement is something some people can't handle well.

Very good article! I think there are indeed bad consequences in ignoring people's needs beyond this covid madness. Kids need education, it is fundamental! And anxiety levels which have led to increased number of suicides shows the dangers of keeping people locked and in a state of fear. More disease is being created by the method of trying to cope with another. I hope this will not continue any longer, it is very sad to watch

It didn't need to happen. It's a big deception. We're being played like fiddles.

Deception yes. Not all of us fall into it though

Though here in India we thought lockdown will help but actually it did not. The good things happened because of lockdown is that our health facilities got better a little, we now manufacture more than 1 Lakh PPEs and Masks in India, as well as can convert railway coaches to hospital bed. If the lockdown wouldn't had happened this cannot be possible.

The problem happened because lockdown did not stopped the Coronavirus infections, now we are standing at 7 and anytime in future we can surprass other countries to become number just because of the population we have. Also we cannot ignore the economic effect of the lockdown, too many jo losses livelihood destroyed.

Yeah and your cops are pretty crazy beating people left and right with sticks for not obeying measures.

If people would have obeyed the measures, it would have been different situation. But again this mess is done by the people and people have to suffer.

Great article as usual!

It's like Brace New World

I guess that was a typo.

Nah, it's another book written by Huxley's twin ;) Thanks for the catch.
