The Unabomber - Creating a Killer: Ted K, Henry A. Murray & MKUltra

I recently watched the Netflix series on the Unabomber and having read his manifesto in the past I can’t say that I disagree entirely with his philosophy although I find his methods reprehensible, as well as his choice of targets. Hindsight being 20/20, it’s difficult to argue with his manifesto given the outcome of how technology has progressed and the power accrued by the technocrats of Silicon Valley. As most of us are aware an unholy alliance between the government and the tech giants has occurred with many of them getting their startup money from DARPA, the CIA’s In-Q-Tel, and other Government agencies. Working in concert with mega-corporations and Big Pharma the tech giants have played a major role in the Covid scamdemic, the creation of the “vaccines,” and the ensuing medical police state -- all the sort of things Kaczynski warned of in his manifesto.

It was during episode #4 that Henry A. Murray popped up. Murray is someone I’ve written about numerous times when writing about a variety of subjects from MKUltra to Pizzagate. Murray, a psychologist, was the head of Harvard’s Social Relations Department where he conducted experiments on Kaczynski and others. Murray was also a member of OSS during WWII and later the CIA where he was one of the architects of the MKUltra program and one of the creators of enhanced interrogation techniques.

It was the MKUltra/Monarch program that used torture (both physical and mental), drugs, and trauma-based mind control techniques to break subjects down and “reprogram” them into compliant automatons with no will of their own. To this they eventually added Edward Bernays propaganda techniques looking to inculcate the results of individual mind control to entire populations.

THis is what gave birth to the Mockingbird Project, a method that uses mass media to push a prevailing narrative onto the public using repetition, something Josef Goebbels found particularly useful. “If you tell the same lie…” During the MKUltra program they found that the individual techniques worked especially well on children and then began pushing their agenda into Saturday morning cartoon series. Remember B.F. Skinner’s claim: “If you give me a child, I’ll turn him into anything. Skinner was a student of Murray’s at Harvard.They also found their techniques effective on young adults and on the socially mal-adjusted -- likely why Kaczynski was chosen for the Harvard experiment.

Social Relations

Social Relations is one of those benign sounding labels that masks much darker intent. If I had to pick a one-word description of Social Relations it would be brainwashing -- brainwashing on a massive level. Social Engineering is another good description. Skinner’s importance is that he brought forward a new branch of psychology, Behaviorism, probably the most prevalent part of the discipline today. Behaviorism is also emblematic of the goals of Social Relations and formed the underpinnings of the MKUltra/Monarch Program. With the advent of Behaviorism psychology shifted away from merely understanding the human psyche to manipulating it, most often for malicious purposes.

Social Relations takes psychological techniques that work on individuals and finds ways to apply them to demographic groups, or even societies at large. For example, people that suffered sexual abuse as children will respond to different stimuli than people that didn’t. They use enhanced interrogation techniques on one, or several members of a target group to find out exactly what buttons to push so to speak and apply them to the group using propaganda. This was the purpose of MKUltra, torturing individuals to find techniques that would then be used on entire populations. By determining what stimuli affects certain groups they can expand its use.

Once again, this is not about understanding group dynamics -- the goal of any qualified academic -- but only insofar as they can be used to control large groups of people. Why is this important? Because these experiments -- The Harvard Experiment and MKUltra/Monarch Programs -- are still being used to this day to brainwash people into accepting things that they would have rejected out of hand only a few years ago. Fear-based propaganda is used to push the phony Covid scamdemic and the vaccine push. The propaganda surrounding these issues is a direct result of these programs.

Murray’s Harvard Experiment, which ran from 1958-1962, was instrumental to the MKUltra/Monarch Program. Murray invented enhanced interrogation techniques using trauma-based mind control to break subjects down with personal attacks -- attacking a person’s belief system, philosophy of life, etc. Eventually it was Murray’s techniques that evolved into MKUltra/Monarch. Ted Kaczynski went to Harvard at 16 on a math scholarship, an ill-adjusted young man and a perfect subject for Murray’s “Social Relations” experiment.

Some interesting questions arise from Kaczynski’s participation in this experiment. Was Kaczynski a victim of MKUltra mind control? Did Murray create the Unabomber by “reprogramming” Ted Kaczynski? It seems almost axiomatic that because something isn’t officially labeled MKUltra it doesn’t necessarily mean that Kaczynski wasn’t subjected to the same techniques invented by Murray and employed by him at Harvard -- techniques employed by Ewen Cameron, Sidney Gottlieb and other MKUltra “scientists.”

Henry A. Murray

Henry Murray was a Harvard psychologist who went to work for OSS during WWII developing a psychological profile of Hitler. After the war he returned to Harvard and founded the Social Relations Dept. and began recruiting scholars from the Psychology Department for the newly formed CIA. 

“In 1951, Dr. Henry Murray’s OSS recruit and CIA MK ULTRA operative master hypnotist, Erik Erikson, joined the staff at Riggs. Erikson was connected to OSS/CIA agents, Margaret Mead, Dr. Gregory Bateson, and Henry Murray. He was directly connected to the MK ULTRA programming of Huey P. Newton.”

Margaret Mead and her husband Gregory Bateson, along with Murray were participants in the Macy Foundation symposia during the 1950s and 60s. Bateson was also a part of the CIA’s counterculture LSD experiments along with Timothy Leary, another CIA associate. Other psychologists recruited were B.F. Skinner, and Michael Maccoby who I’ve written extensively about concerning his relationship with James Alefantis and his role in Pizzagate/Pedogate. Strange isn’t it how all of these things are related and seem to be rooted in the activities of the CIA -- a lowest common denominator if you will.

“At Harvard at the Social Relations school, Dr. Maccoby said that he also bumped into and started working with psychologist, behaviorist, author, inventor, and social philosopher Burrhus Frederic Skinner (March 20, 1904 – August 18, 1990), commonly known as B. F. Skinner.[25] And, he taught the shadow government and the CIA and the ILLUMINATI how to shape children into anything they want- MK ULTRA ritual trauma abused sexual slaves and espionage agents. Nevertheless his mad scientist experiments, B.F. Skinner was one of the CIA MK ULTRA/MONARCH’s top behavior modification/control consultants and specialists. In a 1956 debate between MK ULTRA consultant  Dr. Carl Rogers and Skinner on “the control of human behavior,” Rogers warned that without careful scrutiny of the ends, goals, and values that lie outside our particular scientific endeavors, we are all much more likely to serve whatever individual or group has the power.”

For example, the CIA were involved with “The Finders” a group who were kidnapping children and taking them to Mexico at the same time that Michael Maccoby and his partner Erich Fromm were running the Psychology Department at NAU in Mexico.

“Dr. Maccoby taught psychoanalysis at the NAU, and then at the Mexican Society of Psychoanalysis (MSP) from 1949 to 1974. The promoter of MSP was Erich Fromm, the founder of the Mexican Psychoanalytic Society. Fromm began teaching at the NAU of Mexico in 1949 and continued to work there until he retired in 1965.”

At the heart of all of this malfeasance was Dr. Henry A. Murray, the primary architect of the MKUltra/Monarch Program and the experiment at Harvard that involved a 17 year old Ted Kaczynski as a subject. Maccoby and Fromm, I might add, were also conducting trauma-based mind control experiments in villages throughout Mexico and Central America at the same time. Maccoby is currently involved with orphanages throughout Central America and the Caribbean -- philanthropy? I think not.

“The Maccoby Group in Washington, D.C. offers consulting, cultural audits, coaching, research and leadership workshops. On strategic intelligence, they offer “A workshop based on more than 35 years of applied research, teaching and consulting with leaders in business, government, unions, universities and non-profit organizations in the United States, Canada, Western Europe, Africa, Asia, and Latin America.”[1] They also coach leaders at Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos, homes for orphaned and abandoned children, an orphanage (A Field of Cabbage) in Mexico, Honduras, Haiti, Nicaragua, Guatemala, El Salvador, the Dominican Republic, Bolivia and Peru.”

Ted K & The Harvard Experiment

As already noted, Ted Kaczynski was 16 when he got to Harvard, younger than his classmates, immature and socially maladjusted -- the perfect target for someone like Murray. Even the name of the experiment was misleading --  “Multiform Assessments of Personality Development Among Gifted College Men.” During the “interviews” Kaczynski was subjected to ridicule, having his ideas, personal philosophy, and even his appearance made fun of in a very malicious manner.

“The future Unabomber’s code name in the experiment was “Lawful”; but the experiment was anything but lawful. In fact, it was sadistic. The intent of the experiment was to undermine the students’ sense of self-worth by subjecting them to intense aggressive verbal attack. Murray himself described the intensive interrogation the students were subjected to as ‘vehement, sweeping, and personally abusive’ attacks that assaulted the subjects’ egos and most cherished ideals and beliefs. I’ve seen excerpts from the interviews on the Netflix docuseries and they were indeed both abusive and demeaning. They had absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with assessing personality development in gifted college men, in fact they were quite the opposite and Murray knew it, he designed it precisely that way.

“The undergraduates were asked to write an autobiographical essay describing their most personal beliefs and aspirations, as well as their deepest sexual desires. They were taken individually to an interrogation room with a one-way mirror where they were strapped to a chair with electrodes attached to monitor their physiological responses. Each student was subjected to lengthy, abusive harangues by a law school student who had been given a detailed psychological battle plan by Murray. The students were deceived, ridiculed, and humiliated. In essence, students were put through a brutal “version of the third degree”, otherwise known as torture.”

What Kaczynski and the others were subjected to is now illegal. Yet Murray’s defenders depict him as “a patriot” and speak of him in the most glowing terms -- an inhumane psychological bully who used techniques that may not have been illegal at the time, but were clearly outside any reasonable code of medical or psychological ethics.

What happened to Ted Kaczynski at Harvard was just one in a long line of government sanctioned atrocities. The Tuskegee syphilis experiments, children infected with hepatitis and exposed to radioactive materials at Willowbrook, the Stanford Prison Experiment, to name a few.. In the 1940s and 50s the CIA began experiments to counter the brainwashing techniques used by the USSR and Chinese Communists. This reaction is what gave birth to the MKUltra/Monarch Programs which instead of helping soldiers that had been exposed to brainwashing, refined the techniques so they could be used by the CIA.

“The CIA reacted to reports of chemicals used for interrogations and brainwashing in the Soviet Union and the People’s Republic of China in the 1940s and 1950s. In response to this national security threat, they developed a series of programs including MKULTRA (Select Committee on Intelligence and Committee on Human Resources, 1977). From 1953-1964, the U.S. government conducted behavioral modification research on people in which they tested, among other things, the utility of hypnosis and LSD for clandestine purposes. The experiments at Harvard under Murray’s purview were another method of refining these techniques. They evolved into enhanced interrogation used to break down individuals and also combined with propaganda to be used on demographic groups -- such as the 1960s counterculture “revolution” -- and entire populations. These enhanced interrogation techniques were used on Ted Kaczynski at Harvard when he was 17 years old.

I’m not trying to make any excuses for Kaczynski or what he did, only to raise the question whether or not Murray’s abusive and malignant techniques might have played a part. They almost assuredly had some effect on an ill-adjusted young man and whether or not they contributed to the Unabomber phenomenon we’ll never know. At this point it has become obvious that the Harvard experiment and MKUltra are a part of something much larger and that Kaczynski was caught up in it. Whether its Pizzagate/Pedogate, the Unabomber, the MKUltra/Monarch Program, the Covid scamdemic, mass shootings, and other similar phenomena, psychologists and psychiatrists, what I call the “therapeutic community” (most often attached to the CIA) are behind them. The propaganda surrounding the Covid scamdemic, mass shootings, the gun control narrative, etc. are not formulated by the news media or politicians, but by the therapeutic community because they know exactly what buttons to push to get the desired response.

As I said at the beginning, I don’t agree with Kaczynski’s methods -- in several cases it was someone other than the intended target that was killed or injured. But I have to ask, how many people have died, either directly or indirectly, from Murray and his associates’ nefarious experiments, not to mention other government sanctioned atrocities such as the Tuskegee experiment?

Instead of facing consequences for their actions they are elevated to prestigious positions, receiving accolades for their criminal activities. Ted Kaczynski was both a victim and a criminal. He went to great lengths to refute any claim that he had been influenced by Murray or his experiment. He believed that to assign blame or to enter an insanity plea would diminish his work, his manifesto. It is difficult to believe that a 17 year old is sophisticated enough, either intellectually or psychologically, to make himself immune to interrogation techniques years in the making and designed specifically to break down the human psyche. Under the law, Kaczynski is responsible for what he did, but surely Murray and his CIA associates must shoulder some of the blame. The MKUltra/Monarch Programs have been determined to have done irreparable harm to many individuals, and now these methods are being used to keep America divided, at war with itself.
