Photos of a Strange Plant I Walked Past.

Hello Friends,

I'm not sure what this plant is, but it certainly looks strange!

I was going to the coffee shop to toil away as I do every day. When I parked my bike ad looked at the fence in frot of me, this darling of a plant was looking back at me.

Perhaps it's an edible plant that is benine. Or just a weed that is growing in the box, but it looked cool to me, so I had to stop and take a few photos of it. Perhaps you know what it is?

When you think about it, it's really quite strange that we find things strange. Why is that? Well, one reason might be that we're creatures of habit and change can be unsettling. Another reason could be that we don't have all the information and so we fill in the gaps with our imagination which can lead to some weird conclusions. Or, it could simply be that we're wired to be curious and to pay attention to novelty. Whatever the reason, it's clear that we find things strange because, well, that's just what we do.

Any ways, I hope you enjoyed these photos and that they inspired you to go out and explore the world around you. Who knows what strange and wonderful things you'll find too. Hahahahaa...

It was the "Lace-Like" edge of the plant I found to be the compelling aspect of it. LIke a fractile pattern. Why is it like this, what evolutionary benefit is there in this shape...

Looking closer, we can see the tri-color of the plat. The pink, brown, and greens. Again, why thy pink? How does that help this place live and grow? Is it sick?

This photo is looking into some of the new stalks from the plant growing up.

Here is a close-up photo of the transition point from the purple to greens. So cool.

And other parts of the plant that are more green and lush. Perhaps the top just is sun bleached?

Wild and wired... hmmm... they say you are what you eat, so if you eat something wild and weird, you then are wild and weird too?

How strange and curious it is that we should find plants like this in our day-to-day lives! It's a reminder that there's always something new to see and learn, even if we think we've seen it all before. So the next time you're out on a walk, keep your eyes peeled for strange and beautiful plants like this one.

I hope you enjoyed this short article and found the pictures interesting. I know I'll be keeping an eye out for this strange plant in the future and maybe if I'm lucky, I'll get to see it in bloom.

Thanks for taking a read today, I hope you enjoyed it!

Cheers
