ECOTRAIN QUESTION OF THE WEEK SEASON 6 #5: IS LIFE FAIR? - My View Point

in ecoTrain3 years ago

Hello Friends!

This is a wonderful topic to discuss since all of us get into this situation now and then and also feel disheartened by the way life treats us sometimes. But rarely do we talk about it. Life is such that it cannot offer everyone everything. I might have something with me which I don't even value whereas someone else who is craving for it might never have it.

I would like to answer this question by giving an example of the current situation in India. So we have this Covid pandemic spread badly across the country. So many people getting affected, multiple casualties each day, heartbreaks, sobs, and sorrow is all that we hear these days. It's the same Virus, affecting different people differently. Some people are asymptomatic, some have mild symptoms while some are getting critical. As per theories, this virus would have a worse effect on old age people with medical issues of sugar, hypertension, or asthma and young people would easily survive it. But we are seeing 80-90-year-old people fighting this disease whereas people of the age group 20-40, not even having any medical conditions dying each day. Is that fair? NOPE!

Next, no matter how much money one has, people here in India are not getting the basic medical aid if they require to survive this pandemic. There is a shortage of vaccines, medication, plasma, hospital beds, Oxygen, ICU, and whatnot. But if the same person was in some other part of the world, he would have got these facilities and would have easily recovered. Is that fair? NOPE!

Next, If the person is a 70-year-old politician or has some other influence, he can easily get a bed in the hospital whereas those who don't have contacts or political influence are dying for oxygen. Is that fair? NOPE!

New-born babies are losing their parents to Covid. Is that fair? NOPE!

For some households, old parents are losing their young daughters and sons. Is that fair? NOPE!

Life is never fair and will never be. Some things are beyond our control and no matter how hard we fight, we might not achieve success. While for others, it might be a cakewalk. But that doesn't mean we lose hope and stop trying. Life might not be fair today but it won't be the same always. There's always sun after dark. So with that hope, live a happy life and never give up.

Yes, life isn't fare sometimes, this covid is really not fare to us at all, we just have to do the best we can and help where we can. Be careful and do what we have too, it seems like a bad dream at the moment, pray it passes soon. Thank you @sugandhaseth for your heart warming post and sharing it. God bless and be safe.

Thank you so much @artywink. Indeed, this has been the most unfair thing to mankind. Just hoping this goes off quickly and life of people resumes back to normal.

You are absolutely correct, I hope so too. Hope it passes soon. @sugandhaseth , keep safe and have a blessed day.

Life isn't fair and at times it's did to us more harm than good, that's why it's advisable to help one another, as you postulate in your post, someone May have something that he/she doesn't value while someone elsewhere is in dying need of that thing.

Ansolutely correct. We all run behind money all the time and we have seen that at this time, money doesn't matter. It's all mankind that will work for you.
