Solidarity is the support that one person gives to another, especially in difficult circumstances.

And one of the most outstanding characteristics of the Argentine people is that, their great sensitivity, solidarity and empathy with others.

Here, people not only understand and listen, they are also people of action, of doing whatever it takes to help those in need.

And many times they help blindly, without knowing who they are helping and without expecting anything in return.

For me, my neighbors, the neighbors in the area, are like part of my family, like an extended family.

As if they were cousins. Those distant cousins you only know by sight. Like those uncles you've only met a couple of times and can't remember the name of.

My neighbors, the ones I don't know, have helped me furnish my apartment.

Here, people put in front of their house the objects they don't use, and if someone needs it, they take it.

As I told you before, after sleeping on the floor, my great friend's boss gave me a bed. And from then on, I tell you what happened.

One summer evening, having just moved in, I found an old wooden table in the back street. I could already sit on the bed and put my plate on a table.

A few days passed and, two streets down, I found a red chair, so I no longer had to eat sitting on the bed, I already had a chair and a table.

On the nearest avenue I found a computer table, I turned it over and it was ready to use, and the little round table became my table de Luz (night table).

One Sunday, visiting a friend, I found a nice bench in front of her house. I had to walk about 30 blocks with it in my arms, but it came in handy and the fatigue paid off. Now I had a place to lie down and read.

And in the discotheque (bowling alley) near my house they remodeled it and I ended up with 3 super useful benches.

Next time, I will show you how I restored all the furniture that my anonymous neighbors gave me.

Solidaridad es el apoyo que una persona brinda a otra, sobre todo, en circunstancias difíciles.

Y una de las características que más destaca del pueblo argentino es eso, su gran sensibilidad, solidaridad y empatía con los demás.

Aquí, la gente no sólo comprende y escucha, también son gente de acción, de hacer lo que corresponda para ayudar a quien necesita.

Y muchas veces ayudan a ciegas, sin saber a quien ayudan y sin esperar nada a cambio.

Para mí, mis vecinos, los vecinos de la zona, son como parte de mi familia, como una familia extendida.

Como si fueran primos. Esos primos lejanos que solo conoces de vista. Como esos tíos que has visto solo un par de veces y de los que no recuerdas el nombre.

Mis vecinos, los que no conozco, me han ayudado a equipar mi departamento.

Aquí, la gente pone frente a su casa los objetos que no usa, y si alguien lo necesita, se lo lleva.

Como les dije antes, después de dormir en el piso, el jefe de mi gran amiga me regaló una cama. Y de allí en adelante, les cuento lo que ocurrió.

Una tarde de verano, recién mudada, en la calle de atrás encontré una mesa antigua de madera. Ya podía sentarme en la cama y poner el plato en una mesa.

Pasaron algunos días y, dos calles más abajo, me encontré una silla roja, así que ya no tenía que comer sentada en la cama, ya tenía silla y mesa.

En la avenida más cercana encontré una mesa de compu, le di la vuelta y quedó lista para usar, y la mesita redonda se convirtió en mí mesa de Luz (mesa de noche)

Un domingo, visitando a una amiga, encontré frente a su casa un simpático banco. Tuve que caminar como 30 cuadras con él en brazos, pero me resultó muy útil y el cansancio tuvo su recompensa. Ahora tenía un lugar donde recostarme a leer.

Y en la discoteca (boliche) que queda cerca de casa hicieron remodelación y terminé con 3 banquitos súper útiles.
