I was so happy when @tomthemodel on IG approached me for a life modelling exchange the other day. How perceptive of him to notice that I #werk my magic on both sides of the easel. Speaking of, I am modelling for the one and only Mo from Cap U tomorrow morning at 9 AM.

I also need help building the Queer Artists community here on Hive, it is still in development and we should have a Discord soon but it would be nice to have a few people join the community first.

Queerdom is a slightly subversive version of Gay, Lesbian, Trans and Two-Spirited identities and we like to push boundaries and defy traditional values. Art is a favoured way for to do this.

The community is also wide open to questioning people because uncertainty is such a sexy quality.

This is a 20 minute drawing from our second session. I rather like the subtleties in the shoulder angle. His left arm needs work but I think I have enough information to go off of. It's a good exercise not to keep screen caps and use one's memory instead when continuing work.

Tom is undoubtabtedly a great guy, we spoke little and made lots of art, but he is a humanitarian and this shows in his positive attitude. I see him as a well-grounded person who knows how art can enrich one's life.

After a session of ours, he was off to a classical drawing class and this is how determined he is, booking two intense art sessions back to back. I can tell that he wants to bring his art to the next level.

This one, from our first encounter, when he missed out on drawing yours truly because there was a power outage in his home Lebanon.

I worked on it a bit afterwards and I am ever so slightly afraid of ruining it with more shading. This may seem silly but I feel as though I am lacking a few shadow-shapes to be confident about it.

The drawing is incredibly sexy to me, just the way his fist is against the bed as though eager to share some passions with someone else.

What do you think, should I keep going or stop?

Anyway, I just thought it was a cute moment this week, sure it gets tedious to be online but, working with people across the globe has been one advantage and I also have an abundance of in-real-life interactions these days, so I am not complaining.

So much of drawing is trying to understand what's in front of you, what makes it tick.

The human body truly is a wonderful machine and you can only do so much, in 20 minutes, to push the shading and describe the volumes within the form.

However, it is fun to try and do your best.

This is one of Tom's drawing of me. I find the naive style aesthetically pleasing and there is a welcome innocence in my eyes. Wonderful interpretation and I'm flattered with that booty, you may have missed it, behind the main figure.

All in all, I'm glad I took him on with this little project. It walks the fine line of homoeroticism which is so appealing to me darling! Okurrr?
