Balita tomato plant, out of control

Fuente

Hello to all my beautiful people of Hive, always receive my love and my wishes as long as you are up for the fight despite the adversities. Today I want to show you and explain why I say that my balita tomato plant got out of control.

The first thing that those of you who are reading me for the first time or do not remember for those who have, is that my patio is with cement floor, it was an idea that my husband and I took in common agreement to avoid some things like the puddle when it rains or to avoid the growth of the bush and things like that. At that time I didn't care for plants at all, but today I have cultivated such a passion for them that I regret having made the decision to cement the small patio of my house.

However, it's not all bad, because nature is so wise that there is nothing to stop it. That is why this is the second time that I have the privilege of seeing this small tomato plant spontaneously grow between the wall that divides my backyard from the other house and the cement, which by the way is as it was when we had it poured, without holes or anything that would make you think that the plant is growing in a piece of land. It seems something unusual, but it is true, in my photos I show them to you.

As you can see, the bush grows between the wall and the cement. We all know that she is a bit fragile, that's why my husband put some ties on her so she could get some strength. Well, that's the thing, it went from weak to become a leafy plant, every day it was bigger and bigger and it was covering almost the whole patio of the house, with its greenish leaves and full of life, at the same time you could see everywhere its small yellow flowers, which made you see the proximity of its small tomatoes.

In my morning supervisions that are never missing, I noticed how the tomatoes began to adorn the branches of the beautiful plant, and there I was ready to take the corresponding photos that would serve me later to document this post. I was very excited to see how many were added to the bush, some of them green and others already turning colorful and ripe.

I'm going to tell you a secret, I feel a little fear at the moment of putting my hands in a bush to grab its fruit, especially in this one that is very ambushed and I don't know what surprise I can get, my imagination is activated in such a way that I imagine being bitten even by a snake, uuuy how scary, just thinking about it gives me chills. That's why this task falls to my husband, and who else, he is the man of the house, it's up to him to get ahead with the mission. In the first collection there were few, but it still generates joy. Here I show you the first ones.

Then I discovered that my daughter and son would pick them and eat them without telling me anything. In some cases my husband would pick them very early in the morning to put them in the perico con huevo that he has always liked to accompany his arepas for breakfast. Anyway, this bush went from being small to a very big one, so big that it closed the way to a place where I had other ornamental plants, which thank God did not dry up because the rain was in charge of giving them away for me.

For this reason I say that the bush got out of control, its branches were almost facing the back door, I felt that it would enter the house, without exaggerating. That's why we did a new tomato harvest and then tried to pick up the bush and clear the path. In this photo I show you what was the result of that day's harvest, then in another post I show you how I used them to make a delicious sauce.

I must clarify that the bush had many more tomatoes, but it was difficult to pick them because of the ambush. In order not to cut it, my husband managed with the help of a machete to pick it up a little and leave the space I needed so much to be able to take care of my other plants. That's how it stayed, but it continues to give us more tomatoes, which makes me feel grateful to God for his wisdom and creation. These I show you today, by the way I gave them to my sister who lives next door, she likes to prepare them with eggs.
