Greetings to you all my lovely friends, lovers of creativity and members of this great community and hive, I wish you all a happy weekend and a break from work to have some rest, it's a beautiful Saturday and I hope you are doing great just as I am having fun here. Today, I will like to share with you the making of this simple, useful and easy diy from my sewing room, it's the cutting and sewing process of a coaster for my cup on the table.

As you know, not all cups comes with a saucer to protect the surface of the table from condensation created by cold drink or water and I have decided to make this fabric coaster from pieces of fabric to help prevent water rings and stain from foaming on the table which may be as a result of cold drink or water.

Join me in the step by step process of cutting and sewing

From my pieces of fabric, I measured and cut out a circle shape with the diameter of 4.5" with lining

It was placed together right side to right side and sewn round

I folded it in two to locate the middle and I made a little opening at the middle for it to be turned inside out

It was neatly ironed and I top stitched round the tip

It was folded to the middle on both sides and was folded up again to locate the middle

It was taken to the sewing machine and I sew it together on a straight line in the middle

It was opened and folded in on both sides

It was folded in two to locate the middle and I sew it on a straight line as well

Each side was opened and folded in just as seen below

It was taken to the sewing machine and I sew on the folded side to secure it down.

This is the final and beautiful outcome with my cup on it, I hope you like the useful and beautiful outcome of my lovely fabric coaster made from pieces of fabrics for my cup.
