Algunas publicaciones atrás les comenté que este año decidí realizar para mi arbolito de navidad algunas "maxi" decoraciones para darle un toque diferente, ya que estaría usando decoraciones que ya tenía en casa, pero en mis aventuras por pinterest vi muchis adornos de gran tamaño y que se veían súper bien en arbolitos grandes como el mío, así que me animé a trabajar en ellas, y hoy les quiero enseñar cómo hacer una maxi pastilla dulce para el árbol de navidad.

A few posts ago, I mentioned that this year I decided to make some "maxi" decorations for my Christmas tree to give it a different touch, since I would be using decorations I already had at home. However, during my adventures on Pinterest, I saw lots of large decorations that looked great on big trees like mine, so I decided to work on them, and today I want to show you how to make a maxi candy cane for your Christmas tree.

Como ven se trata de un dulce en blanco y rojo, bastante sencillo de hacer, súper lindo para el árbol y lo mejor de todo es que este tipo de decoraciones están en tendencia, así que por donde lo vean es una excelente opción para decorar esta Navidad, y no solo sirve para el árbol, ya que lo puedes utilizar en cualquier lugar en casita, así que sigue leyendo para que aprendan a elaborarlo.

Lo primero que haremos es hacer los moldes para recortar las piezas de foamy y armar nuestro dulce, y para ello en una hoja blanca trazamos un círculo del tamaño en que deseemos nuestra decoración, ubicamos el centro y trazamos una especie de cruz.

The first thing we will do is make the templates to cut out the foam pieces and assemble our candy. To do this, draw a circle on a white sheet of paper in the size you want your decoration to be, locate the center, and draw a cross.

El siguiente paso es trazar dentro de cada cuarto de nuestro círculo un "aspa" y al finalizar de trazarlas quedamos con 8, cuatro serán de color blanco y cuatro de color rojo. A los moldes rojos decidí marcarlos con unas líneas dentro y los que usaría con el foamy blanco los dejé como estaban, solo los numeré a todos para que me fuese más fácil luego de ubicarlos sobre el cartón.

The next step is to draw a "cross" inside each quarter of our circle. When we finish drawing them, we will have eight crosses: four will be white and four will be red. I decided to mark the red templates with lines inside, and I left the ones I would use with the white foam as they were. I just numbered them all so that it would be easier for me to place them on the cardboard later.

Once the templates were ready, the next step was to cut them out, transfer them to the foam, and cut them out.

Once we had our foam pieces ready, the next step was to cut out the circle we were going to work on and arrange all the pieces to make sure they "fit" well, and then we proceeded to glue them down.

Con este paso ya estaría lista nuestra maxi pastilla dulce de navidad para decorar nuestro arbolito. En mi caso hice solo 3 ya que me parecieron más que suficientes y las ubiqué a los lados del árbol donde sobresalen un poco y se ven bastante bien.

With this step, our large Christmas candy ornament is ready to decorate our tree. In my case, I only made three, as I thought that was more than enough, and I placed them on the sides of the tree where they stick out a little and look quite nice.
