This contest by @tobetada is a unique one in that it's not simply a photography contest where you post several pictures. Artists of all mediums are welcome to enter. For my cloud day I choose a day where the clouds were ominous looking, but at the at the same time a surreal beauty about them.
I took a trip out of town. On the way headed to my destination, the sky looked beautiful with lovely clouds. No hint of the bad weather that was supposed to arrive in a few days. But we who live on the Gulf Coast know that the weather can turn on a moment's notice.
On our way back home, we encountered some extremely ominous clouds ahead of the some heavy thunderstorms. Forecasts stated it the weather was two days away, but we got a surprise that day.
The clouds had only partially filled the sky, but they were moving in fast. We were still thirty miles away from home.
Storm clouds still gathering, we were hoping we could make it home in time.
This cloud looked as if something was about to drop from it. We got caught in the weather, but was fortunate in that we were able to make it home ahead of the heavy storm downpour.
