There are many cards in our decks that are very powerful but we do not select them because we do not fully understand their abilities. Some support monsters also help protect allied units by absorbing damage and they are a good support monster but because of lack of knowledge we just ignore them. That is why it is very important to understand the ruleset and choose a balanced team according to it.

If I talk about Dread Traffarin, it is a 9 mana monster so it easily fits into medium and high mana battles. In some situations it can also be used in low mana battles especially when you do not have better options available. This is why it can be called a versatile monster.

At level 5 it has 1 armor, Its biggest weakness is its low armor. If it had 3 or 4 armor it could become a very strong tank support monster. This may be one reason why its market price is still quite low.

Its 8 health gives it good survivability and it can usually stay on the battlefield for several rounds. Its 2 melee attack keeps dealing damage to the enemy every round while its real strength is hidden in its support ability.

At Level 5 it gains the Heal ability. This ability restores a portion of its maximum health every round. If its health is 8 it can recover around 2 health each round. Because of this it can survive much longer in extended battles.

If there is another healer in the team then Dread Traffarin survivability increases even more. In this situation it keeps absorbing damage on the frontline while your ranged, melee, and magic attackers continue dealing damage to the enemy team.

In my opinion the most valuable thing about this monster is its Heal ability. This ability makes it a durable defensive support monster. If the opponent does not have very powerful attackers it can survive until the final rounds of the battle and continue supporting the team.

Because of its health, melee attack and Heal ability it provides good value for its price.
