A Battle Worth Sharing in Splinterlands: Earth VS Water.

Hello

I hope you're having a great day!

Welcome back to my blog where I'll talk about a splinterlands battle that's worth sharing.

In this post... I'm going to show an amazing battle of Earth VS Water where my team totally nailed it with the help of the Equalizer ruleset.

About the ruleset: Equalizer and Up Close & Personal

Equalizer: The initial health of all monsters is equal to that of the monster on either team with the highest base health.

This means that every monster of both teams in a battle will get the health equal to that monster with the highest best health no matter if that monster is in your team or in your opponent team.

Up Close & Personal: Only monsters with melee attacks may be used in battles.

This means that no ranged, magic attack monsters will be able to use in the battle with this ruleset.

A Brief Info About The Match

The battles mana cap was 30 with "Equalizer and Up Close & Personal" Rules.
I used earth splinter for the match while my opponent used water splinter.

For a better experience, you may watch the battle direct from the splinterlands official website from the link below.

My Lineup.

As the only rule for the battle was "Equalizer " so I knew I had to find a monster with big health so that other low health helpful monsters get big health as well.

So, I headed for Water splinter where I had Nectar Queen in level 5with big health.

Then there was another rule that was "Up Close & Personal" for what I could only use melee attack monsters so I had to choose monsters that could attack from any position.

I had my Summoner XANDER FOXWOOD in level 3, Nectar Queen in level 5, Orc Sergeant in level 4, War Chaang in level 3, Elven Cutthroat in level 5, Screeching Vulture in level 5 & Creeping Ooze in level 5.

And then I've found an opponent with who uses his/her cards as Sea Monster in level 5, Spineback Turtle (Gold) in level 4, Sand Worm in level 1, Sabre Shark (Gold) in level 4, Elven Cutthroat in level 4.

Let me talk about cards that I used in this battle.

Summoner: XANDER FOXWOOD (EPIC Earth Summoner) - as summoner.

One spring day in Anumün, a tiny (but egotistical) Pixie named Xander Foxwood buzzed into Summoner’s Green during one of the Magi’s summoner classes. He insisted that in spite of his size and lack of experience, he could summon circles around anyone in the group. A few practice battles proved Xander correct, and now he is one of the leading summoners of Anumün - Source.

This is an epic earth summoner that I added after splinterlands got updated with collection power as I was trying to accumulate greater collection power with few cards and Epic cards was the best for that, I guessed.

This summoner doesn't offer any extra buff to monsters.

This summoner seemed a perfect one so I bought some and made it level 3.
He needs only 2 mana for battle.

No 01: Nectar Queen (Common Earth Monster)

Unlike most queen bees, Nectar Queens is a vampire bee that lusts for a real taste for blood.

This bee is so powerful with a big melee attack and health.
I normally like to use this monster in every big mana battle in the first position.

I used my Nectar Queen in level 5 with 4 melee attack, 4 speed, 12 health with "Flying" ability.
It needs 9 mana.

No 02: Orc Sergeant (Common Earth Monster)

I think this is the best melee monster with the "Reach" ability for big mana ruleset

As it's a melee attacker with "Reach" ability, so it's better to be used in the second position so that it can attack smoothly.

I used my Orc Sergeant in level 4 with 2 melee attack, 3 speed, 12 health with "Reach" ability.
It needs 5 mana.

No 03: WAR CHAANG (EPIC Neutral Monster)

My WAR CHAANG is in level 3 which offers me 2 melee attack, 2 ranged attack, 3 speed & 12 health with "Retaliate" ability.

And it needs 7 mana to play.

It's an amazing monster who has a double attack.

From the visual and from the official lore of the monster, we can see that this monster is something that's been used in war and I've only seen them in cinema before.

Although I used this monster in the battle in the third position as I used another double attack monster in the second position.

For splinterlands, this is a fantastic monster with a double attack.
I was kind of confused about the best position for this monster in the battle.

I've learned that it's best to use in the second position as it has both ranged and melee attacks.
From the second position, it can attack with a ranged attack and if the front monster dies then this monster can come to the front and attack with melee.

No 04: Elven Cutthroat (Common Neutral Monster)

This is the monster that reminds me of some characters of Lord of The Rings movie series.

This little monster has nice power with low mana (3).

This is a perfect monster for little league battles.

I used my Elven Cutthroat in level 4 with 2 melee attack, 4 speed, 12 health with "Sneak" ability.
It needs 3 mana.

No 05: Screeching Vulture(Common Earth Monster)

This is a perfect monster for up & close personal ruleset for its opportunity ability that it has from level 1.

I used my Screeching Vulture in level 5 with 2 melee attack, 4 speed, 12 health with "Opportunity & Flying" abilities.
It needs 3 mana.

No 06: CREEPING OOZE (COMMON Neutral Monster)

The one mana neutral monster that's been taking a place almost in every player's heart, I guess.

It has the ability "Slow" which decreases the speed of every monster of the opponent team.

I used my Creeping Ooze in level 5 with 1 melee attack, 1 speed, 12 health with "Slow" ability.
It needs 1 mana.

Using the Creeping Ooze in this battle was the best thing that I did, I guess as it needs only 1 mana and it got 12 health for the equalizer rule which made opponent monsters attacking this monster for a long time while my monsters attacked opponents.

On the battlefield.

image.png

Every monster in both teams had 12 health from my Nectar Queen each for the Equalizer rule.
My Creeping Ooze did an outstanding job decreasing the speed of opponent monsters at the beginning.
Then my Elven Cutthroat started the battle with its first shot.

Four monsters of the opponent team could attack from their own places while five of my monsters could attack from their position.

Monsters of the opponent team were attacking my Creeping Ooze the most while my monsters were attacking all other opponents.

The Sea Monster of the opponent team died at a time who was the most dangerous melee attacker in the opponent team with big attack and heal ability.

image.png

Then Spineback Turtle of the opponent came forward and took the front place and together they killed my Creeping Ooze and gained their original speed at the end of two rounds.

image.png

The Spineback Turtle of the opponent team had only 1 melee attack but it was killing two health of some of my monsters with its thorns ability.

image.png

My monsters killed every single monster of the opponent team one after another and it seemed that my team dominated the opponent team with great pleasure.

I lost only one monster and all my other monsters had big health till the end.
It was indeed a fantastic battle that my team fought

Thanks for sharing! - @rehan12

One of the best rule that I do enjoy is The Equalizer one. Nice setup by the way! I see Screeching Vulture really came in handy for your battle in securing the back of the arena. I might need Xander for my deck as well!
