SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge! SCAVO FIREBOLT

Scavo Firebolt is a mole-like race that is able to live in extreme heat environment. They have the ability to control firebolt which they would threw at their enemies before disappearing underground into magma filled chamber.

Below is the details of the match I had using Scavo Firebolt as one of the unit in the setup. The battle restriction is:
Noxious Fumes + Heavy Hitters with a max mana limit of 36

TEAM SETUP:

SplinterMana CostPositionReason
Tarsa4SummonerThe only splinters in my level that has cleanse units is Fire and Water. Water is not available in this match so naturally I go for Fire. I am expecting the opposing team to use Fire as well.
Living Lava71stStandard tank for Fire. It has shield which will helps it survive a little longer. I am expecting a melee setup from the opposing team.
Creeping Ooze12ndIf the opponent is going to use Fire and almost the same setup as me then I hope using a 1 mana Ooze would slow down the opponent and allow my units to attack first.
Scavo Chemist23rdThis is the unit with cleanse. I need it to remove the poison status from my Lava Living so it can survive longer.
Forgotten One94thVery important unit. The only reason why it is here is because it has immunity which makes him unaffected by poison. The whole team setup is to protect this unit so it is the last one standing.
Scavo Firebolt45thDecent range damager with good health. Expect it to be able to survive 3 rounds as Tarsa will give it another 1 hp.
Lava Launcher96thStrong range unit with good shield. It is suppose to tank against sneaker as well since Fire splinter has quite a few sneak units.
Total Mana:36

Battle Lineup:

My opponent went with Fire as expected. I was also expecting a Disintegrator on the opposing side which is why I use more range attackers instead. The Molten Ash Golem at the back was the surprise for me though. Normally I would put Disintegrator in the last position and Sand Worm instead of the Molten Ash Golem. This way I would have a 2 sneakers combo. Anyway lets run through the whole battle and see how it goes.

End of Round 1:
EndofRound1.jpg
At this point both sides are quite evenly matched. The opponent's tank has one hp lesser whereas my back range tank has lose 3 shield.

Round 2 Start:
Round2Start.jpg
Round 2 starts with Poison taking into effect. At this point, my Creeping Ooze is dead. Suddenly my situation don't looks good anymore.

Round 2 End:
EndofRound2.jpg
The opponent's tank is dead but mine is near dead as well. It doesn't look that bad again.

Round 3 Start:
Round3Start.jpg
Both of our Scavo Chemist are gone now with poison making its round again. Its clear now why the opponent used Molten Ash Golem. It is intended to be the last unit standing due to its high hp. However I have Forgotten One which all along hasn't been hit or affected by poison.

Round 3 End:
EndofRound3.jpg
My Lava Launcher killed the opposing Radiated Brute but was then killed off by the opposing Tenyii Striker. My Scavo Firebolt then attacked and remove the Disintegrator's shield to allow my Living Lava to kill it off.

Round 4 End:
EndofRound4.jpg
At this point we each have only one unit standing but it is obvious who is winning now. I still have a full health Forgotten One while the opposing Molten Ash Golem has less than half of its health left. Final result: I WIN!

KEY STRATEGY
Protecting Forgotten One is my main priority here while my 2nd priority is to clear the opponent tank as soon as possible. Why? Because that is the possibly the only opposing unit that would be free of poison. Using range with high attacks is key here for me to do that.

CONCLUSION ON SCAVO FIREBOLT
A fairly decent unit. 4 Mana for 2 Ranged Attack and 4 HP is not bad at all. Usually for 4 mana you only see either a ranged unit with a Low Attack or a Low HP so Scavo Firebolt is a pretty balanced option to have. Compared to Level 1 Supply Runner who is also a 2 Range attack 4 HP unit and cost 6 mana, a Level 1 Scavo Firebolt with similar stats (slower by 1 speed) is much cheaper at 4 mana. If you have a Yodin as summoner instead of Tarsa, it would help Scavo Firebolt even more as Yodin would give it 1 more range attack together with a Blast ability.
