Splinterlands Weekly Challenge Battle! DRAGONS

in Splinterlandslast year

Every week there is a Splinterlands challenge to share a battle using a specific card and on this week's post it is a dragon battle. I also encourage Splinterlands players to partake in the share your battle weekly challenge because you get to try different strategies and earn some crypto in the process.

Rule set, Battle and Plan

rule set.png

The ruleset this time is weak magic and heavy hitter. This means that all monsters will hit armor first before it hits their health and any stunned monsters will take double damage. There is also 38 mana available and I am left with the choice any splinter except for death.

The summoner I choose to use this time is Drake of Arnak. In a match like this, the +1 armor will soak in the damage and I can play the cards to the highest level I can.

Drake of Arnak4Summoner+1 Armor

Tide Biter32ndReach
Demented Shark63rd+1 melee attack
River Hellondale74th+1 melee attack and resurrect
Dhampir Infiltrator45thDouble attack and sneak

Total Mana:38

My plan is just to have a lineup using a melee monsters with double inspire. River Hellondale is the only non-melee monster that I am using due to the +1 attack and the resurrect.

Round 1

At the first glance of my opponent's lineup, I am not that confident in winning this match due to the Kron in the back. The one upside is that they have to hit my armor first so I have some time to take out my enemy's cards. I hate fighting against the Llama and Kron combo.

Round 2

round 2.png

No monsters died but I have made great progress on the main tank for my opponent. I did lose all the armor on my Diemonshark but it should get resurrected when it does die so I will have some extra buffer.

Round 3

round 3.png

I took out two monsters and my tank did resurrect. If I am lucky, the Kron will die before it gets last stand due to my double inspired Dhampir Infiltrator. It can do 8 damage per round on Kron.

Round 4

I think this match is over and I have definitely won this match because my opponent is down to one card left.

As I expected, I won the match without any issues.

Conclusion

The battle this time around went exactly as I expected. My melee damage did a ton of damage and I didn't have to worry about magic monsters killing off my cards fast. All of the damage that my cards put out were great and Diemonshark was an amazing tank when combined with the resurrect ability.

The +1 armor from Drake of Arnak was great but it did allow me to place the highest level monsters that I could. On my opponent's side, I was scared about his Kron and Llama combo because that heals a lot of health and deals a lot of damage per turn if it gets that last stand off. I am kind of glad that my double inspired Dhampir Infiltrator. It killed off Kron before it got up to the front and I was able to kill it off using sneak.

You can see my entire match here.

What did you think of my match? Was there anything you would have done differently? I think it is quite interesting to see how different players use the same card.

Damn that was brutal from you, I like your double Inspire setup.

Yea, I really like the double inspire setup. It works out quite well if I can live long enough to destroy my opponent.
