Splinterlands - Tactics To Accumulating SPS...

Last week I got a taste of some sweet SPS in an event. I ended up putting 5 SPS and earning a little over 30 from that one event. Now I am determined to get enough SPS staked in order to partake in higher rewarding events. These opportunities are weekly and I don't want to pass up on them when I am so close to qualifying in higher rating events.

For instance Alpha Diamond in Gobson Masters Diamond I am just slightly shy of 4k SPS to qualify. So big question for me is how do I get that much SPS in order to partake?

Ways To Earn More SPS

The most simplest is to play rank battles but in order to get bigger SPS rewards I need to be playing at higher league. As of just a couple days ago I advanced to gold and have remain in this league since. I have jump from earning an average of 0.3 SPS per a win to around 0.8 SPS between Silver I and Gold III. I remain determined to rise even higher asap in hopes of yielding more SPS.

The couple of passive ways of earning more SPS is simply staking SPS or to provide SPS into liquidity pools. Doing both methods simultaneous could accelerate SPS yields. Take note that currently staking SPS will also earn daily GLX tokens.

I have decided to sell my GLX tokens for more SPS in hopes of accelerating the process of yielding more SPS to stake. With daily air drops there is also ones from owning Nightmare booster packs and plot lands.

A bit more investment needed to earn daily SPS is to own and operate a validator node.

I have yet to purchase a license and have not been earning SPS through validation.

Conclusions

So all these methods of yielding more SPS only so I can partake in events at higher ranks and hopefully rank to earn more SPS. Why would this be any good?

This is because it is almost like a no risk investment in yielding more SPS. Looking at the event discussed earlier we see currently there are only 27 participants. For the top 64 finishers each has the potential to earn at least the minimum entry fee all the way to hundreds of SPS just for one event. How can you pass that up considering you can earn even more SPS.

In terms of pricing of SPS it is no better time to buy low now than ever before. Could it continue to go down? Yes, but what is its potential to go up? At highs it was over $1 each. It just seems logically to accumulate now while prices are low.
