Greetings my dear readers, This is a special occasion, I will have a couple of important changes around here and I also have news.
For this week I bring you a drawing of the Naga warrior card. And it is not a coincidence that my first drawing for hive and the splinterlands contest is Naga assassin, because this is a new beginning for me.
I'll put it in context.
I was recently able to buy a new graphics tablet and replace my old one with a huion H640P, I am very happy about that but why stop there. I also changed the program I use to draw with which is Tool SAI and now I will use Clip Studio pain EX.
to be honest with you I feel like a newbie again.
So many tools and options that I still don't know how to use....
despite that I decided to get down to work and make a Naga warrior drawing in tribute to my first naga assaassin drawing.
I was able to correct something that I didn't like in my first drawing which was the snake part, I always thought that in my first drawing it looked strange.
Well, I still haven't mastered the program and all its tools and this drawing could be considered an exploration, because many of the shapes and tools it has are still unknown to me.
I would like to explain in depth, but I will tell you from my point of view and experience how I made this drawing.

Saludos mis apreciados lectores, Esta es una ocasión especial, tendré un par de cambios importantes por aquí y también tengo noticias.
Para esta semana les traigo un dibujo de la carta Naga warrior. Y no es una casualidad que mi primer dibujo para hive y el concurso de splinterlands sea Naga assassin, pues este se podria decir que es para mi un nuevo comienzo.
Los pondré en contexto.
Hace poco pude comprar una nueva tableta gráfica y remplazar mi vieja tableta por una huion H640P, estoy muy feliz por eso pero porque detenernos ahi. También cambié el programa con el que suelo dibujar que es Tool SAI y ahora usaré Clip Studio pain EX.
para ser honesto con ustedes me siento como un novato otra vez.
Tantas herramientas y opciones que aún no sé usar...
pese a eso decidí ponerme manos a la obra y realizar un Dibujo de Naga warrior en tributo a mi primer dibujo de naga assaassin.
Pude corregir algo que no me gusto de mi primer dibujo que fue la parte de serpiente, siempre pensé que en mi primer dibujo se veía extraño.
Bien, aún no dominó el programa y todas sus herramientas y este dibujo podría considerarse de exploración, pues muchas de las formas y herramientas que tiene aún son desconocidas para mí.
Quisiera explicarles a fondo, pero les contaré desde mi punto de vista y experiencia como realice este dibujo.

First steps

I spent a long time going through and playing with the program's options until I found a way to move the sheet and a brush that worked well for the sketch.

Estuve un buen rato revisando y jugando con las opciones del programa hasta que encontré la forma de mover la hoja y algún pincel que me funcionara bien para el boceto.

It's a big change, as my previous tablet had only 1024 pressure levels, now this new one has 8192 pressure levels, basically every stroke will be captured on the canvas.

Es un gran cambio, pues mi tableta anterior tenía solo 1024 niveles de presión, ahora esta nueva tiene 8192 niveles de presión, básicamente cada caricia será plasmada en el lienzo.

I would like to explain better, but this is a new world for me, even so the sketch is taking shape, and at this point I have a favorite brush and I only think of the many possibilities for new drawings.

Quisiera explicar mejor, pero este es un mundo nuevo para mí, aun así el boceto va tomando forma, ya en este punto tengo un pincel favorito y solo pienso en las muchas posibilidades para nuevos dibujos

Once I finished the sketch, which I corrected many times, I start with the lineart.
This brush allows me to make a delicate and not so marked lineart, I really liked it a lot.
Also by this point I had already configured the program a little better to make it easier to use. At least for me that I am learning.

Una vez terminado el boceto, el cual corregí muchísimas veces, empiezo con el lineart.
Este pincel me permite hacer un lineart delicado y no tan marcado, realmente me gusto muchísimo.
también para este punto ya había configurado un poco mejor el programa para hacerlo más fácil de usar. Al menos para mi que estoy aprendiendo.

Something that I could not achieve in my first drawing was to work well the perspective and the vanishing point.
So in a new layer and before continuing with the color I created the floor.
Originally, I wanted to place a door or window right at the vanishing point, but this idea was discarded after I saw how it looked.
I think a dark room gives a touch of mystery and helps to focus the attention on the character.

Algo que no pude lograr en mi primer dibujo fue trabajar bien la perspectiva y el punto de fuga.
Así que en una nueva capa y antes de continuar con el color fui creando el suelo.
Originalmente, quería colocar una puerta o ventana justo en el punto de fuga, pero esta idea fue descartada después que vi como quedaba.
Pienso que una habitación oscura le da un toque de misterio y ayuda a centrar la atención en el personaje.

We started with the colors, the program brings some suggested colors for skin and other things, but I feel that they are far away from my style, so I tried with several until I found the tone I was looking for.

Empezamos con los colores, el programa trae algunos colores sugeridos para piel y otras cosas, pero siento que se alejan de mi estilo, así que fui intentando con varios hasta dar con el tono que buscaba

The program has many options when making shadows, one of them is the lasso with fill, which allows you to select and fill with a color quickly.
I plan to use a combination of several.

El programa cuenta con muchas opciones al momento de hacer las sombras, una de ellas es el lazo con relleno, permite seleccionar y rellenar con un color de forma rápida.
Tengo pensado usar una combinación de varias.

My favorite part of the drawing is the snake part. the first reason is because I almost never draw animals and I think this one is very good compared to the first drawing, for the shadows I use one of the available brushes that have this very cool texture, it gives the effect of reptile skin.

Mi parte favorita del dibujo es la parte de serpiente. el primer motivo es porque yo casi no dibujo animal y creo que esta me quedo muy bien en comparación al primer dibujo, para las sombras uso uno de los pinceles disponibles que tienen esta textura muy genial, da el efecto de piel de reptil.

I think the effect achieved with these brushes looks great, it's something I couldn't even imagine with the other program I used before.

Pienso que se ve muy bien el efecto logrado con estos pinceles, es algo que no podía ni imaginar con el otro programa que usaba antes.

For other areas where it is not convenient to use texture, the spray gives a very blurred shadow.
On the other hand for the hair I used the filler ribbon to give a very solid shadow.
Other things I applied were details like loose hair and the little details that I always add.

Para otras zonas donde no es conveniente aplicar textura use, el spray da una sombra muy difuminada.
En contra parte para el cabello usé el lazo de relleno y así darle una sombra muy sólida.
Otras cosas que fui aplicando eran detalles como cabellos sueltos y los pequeños detalles que siempre suelo agregar.

After all the shadows and details we have this result, the program has a lot of possibilities, I really liked to start using it.

Después de todas las sombras y detalles tenemos este resultado, el programa tiene muchísimas posibilidades, realmente me gusto mucho empezar a usarlo.

For the background I had in mind something with a roman touch, and a little reference to the dragon ball martial arts tournament.
In the end I decided for a mostly dark version, a light source in the right area.

Para el fondo tenía pensado algo con un toque romano, y una pequeña referencia al torneo de las artes marciales de dragón ball.
Al final me decidí por una versión mayormente oscura, una fuente de luz en la zona derecha.

Conclusions and experiences

I am very excited with these new tools to continue creating, I must say that I feel like a beginner, I must practice and study better each new tool that the clip studio program offers me.
