The Chaos Legion presale event is live!

Greetings summoners! The Chaos Legion presale event is live and we want to share a brief summary of how it works to help you make the decision that is right for you. During this presale event, there will only be a maximum of 1 million packs sold (not including bonus packs). There are some extra incentives for users that buy during the presale event and we'll break down how these incentives work below.

1 million vouchers are being airdropped to users that are staking SPS over a 30 day period. The number of vouchers dropped each day is 33,333 and they are split evenly among SPS stakers proportional to their share of the total amount of staked SPS.

One thing has been made abundantly clear at every AMA for the last month and that is, to put it simply, pretty much no one is going to get the number of vouchers they want as they are scarce and in high demand.

Now that we've covered the basics of how the Voucher airdrop is working, we'll discuss the presale incentives and what to expect afterward.

For every 50 presale packs purchased, users are guaranteed at least 1 promo card airdrop after the presale event. Those fortunate enough to buy 1,000 or more packs are guaranteed 1 gold foil promo card for every 1,000 packs purchased. There is also an exclusive in-game title, "The Legionnaire," available for anyone purchasing at least 1,000 packs during the presale.

The biggest presale incentive is for the top 6 presale pack purchasers. Those 6 individuals will be able to help design one of the new legendary summoners that will be airdropped in the future.
The earliest packs have the most chances for receiving the future airdrops that will occur after all 1 million packs sold. Buying early has its advantages.

After all of the Vouchers are airdropped, there is a 1 week period where the presale event will continue to allow anyone holding vouchers to finish using them. If you are not participating in the presale event, be sure to keep an eye out for the details of the public sale and official release of the Chaos Legion expansion!

Congratulations on an incredible start to Chaos Legion. We're currently seeing vouchers trade in the $22 range right now. At this price, we're airdropping $733,326 of value on players every day for the next 29 days. It's an exciting time to stake and hold SPS. We've had several thousand packs sell already and expect some players are hodling to maximize their benefits while others are buying small amounts for the excitement of being part of this sale on day 1. If you haven't checked it out yet go to the shop page on Splinterlands. If you're looking to trade vouchers please visit hive-engine.com or tribaldex.com.

Let the games begin!

An hour since it posted, and...

First!

I guess everyone's too busy buying them vouchers for $25!?!

Hahahaha, guess so!

hello I have a question
on the splinterlands website it's saying that The Chaos Legion pre-sale event will end in 37 days, will I earn vouchers during that period or just for 30 days?

The voucher airdrop will last 30 days. At the end of that, there will be a 7 day "grace period" to allow for buying, selling, and trading of all the vouchers before pre-sales actually end.

that was told. 30 days earning vouchers and then 7 more days to use them

are bought Chaos legion packs counted for the SPS airdrop?

Yes I believe 300 air drop points per pack.

i don't see my magnificent one pack there :D

It might show 300 air drop points in the next 24 hours as when I get credited for my other air drop points daily since I have not been able to purchase CL pack yet.

In my opinion, the voucher was not a good idea. $ 4 for a pack would have been fair. I will sell all the vouchers and SPS instead of investing them in the game as planned.

As a new player, I am in agreement. I've been enjoying the game for the past 5-6 weeks since I started, but it became clear very early on that what I needed was card packs to 1) improve my power and 2) improve my ability to move up the ranks (better cards allow for better strategy). I've had success getting all the way to Bronze 2, but the lacking in power makes it a struggle. Renting is fine, but as I look toward a longer term approach to the game, packs are really what is desired, especially for us newer players. My biggest concern is the devs have stated they will have 15M packs available. 1M packs are in the pre-order pool, leaving approximately 14M packs left for POST pre-order sale. Given the success of the Untamed packs ROI, how likely are we to see those 14M CL packs sell out? I'll be there day one with my credits, DEC, and SPS (the few that I have) ready to go, but given all the hype, I can only imagine the bloodbath the servers will take when the actual sales begins...

I started fairly early in Untamed and my suggestion for new players is not to buy pack if resources are scarce. I is better in my opinion to purchase specific cards. My experience with packs is half of what I open I hardly use because I have a bunch of cards of low levels where if I just focused on a few cards I knew I wanted I could level them up and make them very useful. Since you're renting you probably have a few cards that you like that you rent. I you started using you DEC or whatever else you have to buy and level up those cards you can slowly start not needing to rent them which will become to leave you more DEC to use to buy more cards and so on. With CL out now you might be able to buy specific CL cards for cheaper than Alpha or Beta that basically do the same thing now too. I used to rent Flesh Golemn even though it's an expensive one because it is so good. But now I took that DEC and got Pelacor Mercenary which is very similar and don't rent the golemn anymore. That's been my approached and as helped me as I don't have much going in either.

One of the attractions for me with the packs is likely hood of gaining summoners. You need the higher level summoners, especially when you get to the higher leagues (from my observation). Summoners on the marketplace are more than the cost of a single pack (even at $4). As far as the cards I would never use and/or duplicates, would not make sense to just burn them for DEC or combine to higher levels?

Yes, @aitrussg accurately describes the dilemmas of many new Splinterlands players.

yes that's really my concern as a newbie too. It is hard to buy new card packs with so little sps, dec and all. It just really shows how getting earlier into the game is wayy better. Cards are so important to help you increase rank as more and more cards are availabe, it's just not about renting them anymore, I prefer to stay in the game long term so of course owning cards would be better. Pretty hyped up about chaos legion but it just makes my fomo bigger? And given the little amount of sps I have, I can't even get a voucher.

That's the beauty of this really, the actual Splinterlands company is only getting the $4 per pack (or $3.60 if paying with SPS), and the rest is whatever the market decides to do. With these current insanely high prices, lots of people who aren't getting many vouchers at all can now at least sell them for enough to buy way more packs later, or stack more SPS :-)

It's also so weird that the price of SPS and DEC are both down... while the vouchers you need SPS for are insanely highly priced. What?!

People need to liquidate to buy vouchers :P

Big investors are showered with money and the normal player, especially the newcomers, lose interest.

Pretty much no one is going to get the number of vouchers they want as they are scarce and in high demand.

The struggle is real let the mental math games commence

Whoever has been staking mad SPS is selling them vouchers like hot bread

como manda vouchers comprado no hive engine para a conta do jogo?????

Hopefullly there are still pre-sale packs available by the time I accumulate enough for a full voucher token :^)

There is still quite a bit on confusion about the VOUCHER distribution process and the use for the tokens going forward. I am going to write up a post explaining the details because it isnt clearly laid out. Yesterday in the Splinterlands discord channel nobody seemed to have a straight answer and I was getting completely opposite answers for simple questions.

They haven't really said anything specific about what use vouchers will have, or when those uses will be available.

They haven't even given specific details on how (or if - but it sounds likely) vouchers will be used in the regular sale of Chaos Legion.

Pretty much just gotta stay tuned to the @Splinterlands official AMAs every Friday to keep up with the details.

@brybro27 releases a summary every week focusing on concise details.
@rosiew releases a summary every week focused more on capturing the conversation.

Thanks for the tag, Kenny!! They did say the vouchers will be VERY valuable and worthy of keeping, although NOT worthy of keeping more than buying the presale packs, but the vouchers are now such a hot item, IDK..... we shall see, right? It's INCREDIBLE TIMES!! :)

I am kind of confused about the packs and vouchers being listed for sale. Wouldnt it make more sense just to buy the packs if they are around, I think @jarvie was saying $20 bucks or so...

Ya, it makes no sense that people are paying extra for packs, that don't count for airdrops or anything, and still can't be opened until the actual release of Chaos Legion...

Sounds like confused people getting super ripped off to me. I guess we'll see what happens.

From what I understand these early packs are the only ones that qualify you for a chance at the bonus promo card as well as qualify you for a chance an an airdrop for all subsequent 13 air drops. I'm not saying the price is worth it, but only that there is a difference between these packs and the packs that will be available upon wide release..

The pre-sale in the store is the only way to get the presale exclusive airdrop, Doctor Blight.

People buying packs on the secondary market are only getting the packs themselves; they don't count for any airdrops at all.

As for the other 13 airdrops, all the pre-sale packs and the first one million regular packs will all get 13 airdrops, then the next million will get 12 airdrops, and the next million will get 11 airdrops, and so on. Packs on the secondary market will not receive ANY of those airdrops.

Ok so the vouchers make more sense now. Thanks for clarifying!

Thanks for clearing that up for me! Personally I'm only going to buy the ones that my vouchers allow me to buy in the store so that all works out!

The premium in buying the packs second hand is basically getting the 2% chance to get Dr Blight when opening the packs no?

im confused. for every 50 presale packs purchased users are guaranteed at least 1 promo card airdrop after presale event. ok i get that.

but later in the article it states the earliest packs have the most chance for receiving the future airdrops.

so which one is it? cant have it both ways

It just means that the pre-sale packs qualify for all of the regular sale airdrops.

Once the regular sale starts, there will be a new airdrop every million packs sold, and every pack previously sold (in the shop) will qualify for it.

This is hyping me up so much. I'm gonna have to transfer more money so I can stake more SPS. I'm not getting enough vouchers! T_T

Apparenty I hopped on this Splinterlands train at the exact proper time!

As Gandolf said:

how do you send vouchers purchased in the hive engine to the game account?????

Go into Splinterlands, click on Shop, click on Send, type the number of vouchers you want to bring over from Hive-Engine, Select Transfer Type Hive-Engine, click Transfer In. Wait a few seconds. Done.

thanks a lot for the tip.

I cannot invest more... But maybe i can get at least 1 voucher. I began a little late i think hahaha

PreSales
First million pack = USD4 + 1 Voucher (Each pack has a 2% of getting one of the 14 airdrop cards)

Early Release
Next 6.5 million pack = USD4 + 1 Voucher (No airdrop)

Public Release
Last 7.5 million pack = USD4 (No airdrop but also don't need voucher)

Presale Rewards
Card numbers 1-13 are not PROMO cards and are just normal cards that we could get from buying CL pack.
Card numbers 14 are the only PROMO cards that you can't get from buying CL park.

This is correct?

All good here, back in the saddle, cheers!

check now for ur airdrop. right now its abt 4500 sps staked for 1 voucher daily

I appreciate that, I just found on Discord the drop for vouchers is 6am UTC. I don't think that was ever mentioned anywhere though😶

Really sad I wasn't able to invest in SPS as much as I wanted to, but the devs are still doing a great job and I can see Splinterlands's bright future with their own mechanisms of burning and just keeping up the overall game economy. SPS to the moon!

Hi, I gonna ask what is SPT?
