Finally, after couple weeks of migration and fixing some bugs, adding new features, Esteem Search is fully functional on Hive. As of right now, Hive.blog, Peakd and Esteem apps updated their search with latest changes and search is fully functional in all these user interfaces.
Improvements
- Support for Steem deprecated.
- Hive migration completed.
- New cluster server added.
- Hivesigner integration instead of steemconnect.
- Monthly fee changes, API docs.
- New
categoryindexing added to allow quick searches within communities. - Version bump to 0.0.2.

The feature im really dying to see on Esteem is the availability of communities
Steemit was using Esteem Search but since we migrated to Hive, not sure current state over there. Yes, migration slowed new development for Esteem, because some infrastructure updates were priority. Like witness, libraries, hivesigner and search. We will slowly roll out Esteem improvements again step by step. 😉

It should be part of Hive, I was thinking perhaps create proposal to just cover server costs and make it open for everyone without fees so even more apps could use it. I will have to gather some feedback on this.

eSteem Search is one of the tools that I use regularly when I want to tangle a topic that might already be present on the blockchain and want to avoid repeating same thing again. Beside this searching for things of interest could never be easier and it works almost in real time from the time an article was posted.
Great to see it fully ported on Hive, bring more tools like this and we will be grateful!
Hey guys at esteem app what is a private key permission? I consistently am getting “check private key permission” while trying to promote one of my post on my account
Promoting and boosting requires active key or master key. Please logout and login with active private key or master key to solve about issue.
