Wolfenstein: Youngblood - A Mixture of Action and Adventure

The Story

The story of the game follows the sisters Jesse and Sophie trying to save their father, William J. Blazkowicz, after he decided, for some mysterious reason, to leave his home and head to France to face the last Nazi forces in Europe.

In fact, Wolfenstein's stories were never deep or complicated stories in events and idea, it was always a clear, frank and simple game that starts the game and you face the Nazis in an attempt to stop you.

This was the magical theme provided by Machine Games in its new perception of a classic game series that was, from the point of view of many, something outdated, the game never provides those strange natural moments that you feel during the game and does not provide you with those great characters that are attached to your memory and most importantly, it does not Give anything that hangs forever.

The two heroes are very naive characters, not naive kids, as their bodies seem to be the least teenagers, but the behaviors they make and their ridiculous comments during the movie clips were very impressive.

Gameplay

But someone will argue that the most important aspect of Wolfenstein: Youngblood is gameplay, right? I mean it is an FPS game

In fact, the answer here is complex, as it is yes and no at the same time. In the beginning, we must agree that there are two development teams working on this game

You will easily notice the existence of the DNA of the two teams, while Machine took charge of shooting, detonation, weapons, and enemies, Arkane took the lead in designing the stages and distributing the enemies. Ground and upper floor or two floors you can jump and hide between them.

Changing the style of play in Wolfenstein: Youngblood has made the game lose a large part of its identity which is to go and jump directly and search for weaknesses and determine the best way to enter your goal
The combination of my quick gameplay and the need for planning has hurt the game very much and made you feel like you need to stop a lot
The presence of the second playable character did not add anything, you will not suffer completely from it except in cases of artificial intelligence, but the presence of money makes you able to buy new upgrades and capabilities within the game and shorten the Grind wall and the upgrade inside the game, but we will not talk about something that has not happened yet.

Graphics

Machine Games excel when it comes to graphics and game performance, the game offers a very cool graphics level and a very distinct performance.

Just don't expect a big graphical difference from what was found in The New Colossus, the graphic level here is very similar to it and offers an experience very close to it. For example, in this part, characters reappeared, but you will feel in general that the matter has become less in quality and representation in general.

The game is sometimes fun and it is fun to roam around and kill the Nazis, but when the game decides to force you to choose RPG options, it becomes more annoying, but it is one of the games that you will enjoy trying, if you find it in any reduction, get it immediately.
