Hello everyone! We would like to announce dCrops, a farming simulation, play-to-earn game on Hive. This has been in the works for a couple of months and we are very excited to share this with you.
Gameplay
The main premise of the game is to plant seeds, wait for the crops to mature, and then harvest them. The crops can then be sold in the in-game shop for our native token - CROP.
There are 4 seasons in the game - Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. A seed can only be planted if it matches the current season. Each season lasts for 15 days.
Packs and NFT Details
Cards
There are two different types of cards - Land and Seeds.
Land is required for you to plant seeds and seeds are, well, seeds. Each land can have a different number of plots depending on the rarity.
Both lands and seeds will be non-perishable items. After a seed is planted, it goes into cooldown for 2 weeks before it can be planted again.

ALPHA Packs
The NFTs will be sold in the form of packs. Each pack is priced at $2 and will contain 5 cards where one of them will be at least rare or better. The packs will contain both Lands and Seeds.
The cards in the game can be of 4 rarities -
Common: 75%
Rare: 20%
Epic: 4.2%
Legendary: 0.8%
A total of 50,000 ALPHA Packs will ever be in existence.
Pre-sale Info
We will be holding a pre-sale at 5 pm UTC, 19th April for a total of 10,000 packs. During the duration of the pre-sale, the packs will be sold at a 50% discount for $1 per pack. Any unsold packs will be sold later at the regular price of $2 per pack.
But wait, there's more!
After the Pre-Sale ends, we will release the pack opening feature and the rates for EPIC and LEGENDARY cards will be doubled! Only the packs bought in the pre-sale will be eligible for this promotion.
Rarities during the pre-sale:
Common: 75% 70%
Rare: 20%
Epic: 4.2% 8.4%
Legendary: 0.8% 1.6%
Most of the game mechanics have already been built and we will move to the open testing phase soonTM after the Pre-Sale ends. After all bugs have been squashed during testing, a server wipe will take place and the game will be launched.
How to buy packs?
The packs can be bought at our website www.dcrops.com using Hive.
Reward structure
A set number of CROP tokens, our in-game token, will be allocated to the reward pool every season which lasts for 15 days. The reward mechanism uses a point system where each harvested crop has a certain number of points which when sold, allocate those points to the user for that season. Rewards will be distributed at the end of the season depending on the user's share in the point pool.
Crop tokens will be available at Hive-Engine.
Moreover, 30% of funds generated from any pack sales are allocated to a separate Hive reward pool which will be used to reward users on top of the above-mentioned reward system. The system to distribute this reward is yet to be formulated.

Is there any option to join the game and play without buying those pack! Farming freely and harvesting and selling for acheive crop token.... 😊
You would be able to buy individual cards from other players in the market in the future, but if you want to get a headstart then you should buy some packs in our pre-sale.

Hey, looks like a neat game. I like the graphic design style you're going with. Is this project from someone who has been around Hive for a bit?
Thank you! One of our devs is a long-time hiver and had been on steem previously (I still remember the days of double payouts on steem). Since we're based in a country where the legality of cryptocurrencies falls into a gray area, we are unfortunately bound to keep our identities private for our own protection.
While we can see this might come off as sketchy to some people, there's not much we can do about it. We would urge you to wait if you are not comfortable with getting involved for the time being.

The concept of farming is always appealing to people.
So being in Japan means I get a head start on buying packs on the 19th. What time zone on the 19th are you referring to?
The pre-sale will start at 5 pm UTC so it might actually be a disadvantage instead, gomenasai. There are 10,000 packs in total so we hope you can get your hands on some of them.

When I went to the Shop there were no cards available, so I bought 2 packs on Hive Engine. How do I get these to the game?
We decided to keep it simple for now so that new players won't have a hard time understanding the game. We have planned a ton of other mechanics which will be added on in the later updates.
You can feel free to wait or join us now to be one of the early adopters, not to mention better rates and less competition on the reward pool.
