Cyberpunk 2077 -- that Audio Crackling nightmare and some First Impressions!

in Hive Gaming3 years ago

Hellooo Hiveans! It's been a while since my last post but I've had good, life-occurring excuses, and now I'm just going to jump right back in with some Cyberpunk 2077.

First off I want to talk about a bug, glitch, thing that almost everyone is getting.

Cyberpunk 2077 Audio Crackling

It's been driving me crazy. So crazy that every five minutes I'd dive back into the Steam discussions and silently commiserate with everyone else complaining about it, and hope that some fixes were being spoken of.

There were many suggestions including lowering your audio quality, deactivating Dolby Atmos, using Windows Sonic for Headphones, turning off the in-game music... none of these worked for me.

🌟 Then someone suggested turning off the Nvidia in-game overlay. 🎉

That was my answer. I have not heard a crackle since. May it also be the answer to all of your painful audio problems. 💃

I loooove the character creator. Before this game came out, I told my partner that I'd probably spend a good hour or so fiddling with the character creator. He laughed at me.

...

Then when the game unlocked, he opened it up and spent an hour in the character creator himself.

"This may just be the best character creator I've ever seen!" he said, as he giggled maniacally at giving his dude a vagina before changing it to the largest wang he could.

Just beautiful.

I am a bit disappointed at the body customisations though. I was hoping I could give my lady bigger boobs, very stylish pubic hair, and there were only a couple of body-shapes to pick from. I was hoping to be able to adjust height, fatness, waist size, butt size, etc. But all in all it's the best character creator I've played with so far.

That's my V!

I've currently played 8 hours of the game... and I've done absolutely nothing.

By that I mean I've chosen to forego the storyline for now and just kind of wander around and do my own thing, explore, side-missions, etc, and get a feel for the game.

There are so many info-dumps in the first couple of hours my head nearly exploded.

It really has a steep learning curve compared to many other RPGs. And I really don't like that. Not the learning curve -- the info-dumps. I can't handle too much new information all at once and I assume I'm not the only one.

That bra gives her a 13 increase in the armour rating, haha! Love it.

Once you get past the vast swell of information flooding your brain and giving you a minor headache, the game is fairly intuitive and I am enjoying myself...

...and I'm looking forward to spending a couple hundred hours in this vast new world. 😊

Until next time,

Thanks for stopping by 🎮

Welcome back! Long time no post! 😀

That game's character customization feature is kinda like adult-modded Skyrim! I saw a streaming vid of someone making a hottie in the game. It made me snigger.

Thanks! 😊 Yeah, have had a few things going on but trying to get back into the swing of things now.

I love the game's character customisation so much! Once modders get their hands on it... just wow. It's going to be great. 😁

Yeah, I'd like a mod where you can play as the Terminator, Robocop, the Punisher or the Mandalorian!

Wow, you're back! I was wondering what happened to you! And you're back with Cyberpunk lol!

I've yet to delve into this. Too much work at hand. Hopefully sometimes around the next month.

The character creator lets you fashion genitals too? Holy shit! Thats mind blowing!
I mean, I remember spending a huge time in Skyrim's creator back then, I wonder how will I do in cyberpunk!

I don't mind info-dumping much, as long as it does it interestingly. I've seen the other side too, for instance, Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey, and oh boy, they don't tell you anything at all. Not sure I liked that approach.
Have you played that game? Here's the trailer.

By the way, welcome back. And don't be a stranger. :)

Yes! Back with Cyberpunk! 😁

I've just moved house and have been settling in with my partner, and some other things have popped up here and there too health-wise with family members. Everything seems to happens all at once, unfortunately.

The Cyberpunk character creator is fantastic and I'm looking forward to what the modding community comes up with later on. 😊 I loved the Skyrim creator so much when it first came out, spent a good chunk of time in it... even more once the modders created the extended creator overhaul thing. I daresay you'll looooove the Cyberpunk one!!! 😀

I haven't played Ancestors yet, though I have looked at it every now and then, curious about it.

I'll be eagerly awaiting my playthrough then! 😁
